It is the coat of arms of the Sword Brethren and the Sword Brethren were a German military and religious order, founded in 1202 by Bishop Albert of Livonia. And what is with that blood red cross and sword, dude? :
Hmmm, I see, so religion still gets bound up in warlike imagery from the 11th century. That puts modern Christianity on par with Muslim radicals. That’s comforting! It is the coat of arms of the Sword Brethren and the Sword Brethren were a German military and religious order, founded in 1202 by Bishop Albert of Livonia.
That puts modern Christianity on par with Muslim radicals. QUOTE]I don’t think so.

Luke 22: 36Well I like to use the verses:
Matthew 26:52
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Ephesians 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
So if I take up the sword of the spirit, I shall die with it.
(but I am not the man with the red sword icon so what do I know?)
Nothing has wrought more sadness and despair on earth than men making war over religion. Since 9/11 I have taken a critical look at the extremes not only of the Muslim faith, but all faiths where there seems to be some justification or attraction to weaponry and the threat of force to enforce or assert a religious sentiment. To me, such imagery seems barbaric and sadly misguided.Luke 22: 36
“But they said: Nothing. Then said he unto them: But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword.”
I must agree with my Agnostic friend and add that a Christian’s battle is of a spiritual nature.Nothing has wrought more sadness and despair on earth than men making war over religion. And your basis for that assessment is…?Most children reach the age of reason around 6 or 7 years old. After that they have to choose God or not choose Him, like the rest of us.
YES!From a Catholic and non-Catholic perspective, is there a chance that children can go to hell?
Well, I guess that closes the thread.YES!
NO,now the thread is closesWell, I guess that closes the thread.![]()
Lol… thanks.NO,now the thread is closes
Well I think the judgment will be the final say. But I disagree in this life.
…you think kids don’t go to hell? And yet they are mature enough to be baptized?Well I think the judgment will be the final say. But I disagree in this life.
