They are simply trying to preserve the Catholic Church as she existed prior to Vatican 2.

Well, the habits with wimples sorta gave that away.

There is a slowly but steadily growing number of real (as opposed to sede or so-called “independent”) nuns and sisters who have either maintained or restored the full, traditional habit of their particular Order or congregation. There are also several (relatively) recently-formed and fully recognized congregations who wear a full habit as well. So, no, the “habits with wimples” gives absolutely nothing away.
