Is this Catholic apologetic DVD ok to give to my Mom for Christmas?

Are the 2 DVDs on this page ok?


They are about the apologetics of Eucharistic miracles (in particular the 1996 Argentina case). Has this case been discredited do you know? …in which case maybe it might not be a good DVD to give. I know the guys who are selling these 2 DVDs are fans of a supposed mystic by the name of Katya Rivas who I believe has some credibility issues. So seeing how they are promoting her, it made me wonder if these 2 other DVDs (unrelated to Katya Rivas) might be questionable. I don’t know.

These 2 DVDs are only for sale on this one particular website. They can’t be got on Amazon or Ebay for some reason.

They sound unapproved and unreliable.

If they aren’t on Amazon, Ebay or any other legit (PBS, etc) site there’s usually a good reason.
 
Are there any other good DVDs on recent Eucharistic miracles (ie such as on the Argentina Case or the recent Poland cases)?
 
Considering that the miracle approval process takes decades, you are unlikely to find definitive, church-approved information on recent miracles.

This is to protect everyone involved.

Why not simply search a valid site like EWTN?
 
I read about and I think I watched a DVD about the Eucharistic miracle of Argentina and thought it might be genuine. It was encouraged by now Pope Francis. What others ARE genuine?

Mind you, that if a miracle was approved recently but has a documentary about it before approval than one should be appropriately suspicious as to the quality of the journalism.
 
The Real Presence has a list of countries where Eucharistic Miracles have taken place and there’s a three part article on Argentina.

I agree with Adam.

Maybe consider too watching these with her at a later/earlier date, and getting her something else for Christmas. It’s hard to go wrong with a good book, chocolates, and a pine-scented candle.

I’m going to guess, because I have 3 brothers, you’re an unmarried male.

My mom is STILL working through her stash of birthday/Christmas candles from my brothers during their highschool/college/pre-marriage years. 🤣

Chocolate is long gone. 😅
 
Laughed out loud for the first time today at this. Utterly guilty as charged. I’m 22 and in college.
 
Who the mother is is irrelevant. The question is are the DVDs ok?

I’d like more (name removed by moderator)ut on whether they’re ok to give her or not because, like I said, the Eucharistic miracle in Argentina is listed on TheRealPresence, but this is the second time I’ve read on CAF, where people were opposed to this miracle due to the guys who wrote the book and did the DVD.

Honestly, I can’t tell if the OP is talking about the same miracle or another one in the same area.

It appears that it has been verified by the diocese which is the first step in full vatical approval.

Honestly, though, why push for something that has not been made clear by the Catholic church? To me, this seems to me like chasing superstitious ideals and proof rather than faith. We should be curious, grateful, but also skeptical. If someone is limited to a DVD to inform them about something they do not have the tools to understand the whole story.
