You should very much be wary of someone who encourages devotion to something which the church has urged the utmost of caution.
Organizing pilgrimages is disobediance.
I know a few people, decades my senior, who traveled when Bishop approval was given. They were impressed and it had a lasting effect. However, given the warnings of the the Church, they would not travel back.
Why? Because disobedience is truly one of the most dangerous and corrupting forces at work in the Church today. Why do you think CAF forbids discussing unapproved apparitions? Because they are anti-free speech crazies? No. It is because they are placing authority where it is due, which is in the hands of the Magisterium, not in the hands of people with their own agendas.
