Yeah, that’s true. I don’t even know where I got lost thinking I needed to be vain to have any power!? HOW CONCEITED AND LOW IS THAT?! I think it was one of those phases a lot of us tend to go through. I am working on the person God created me to be and trying to get my happiness from Him because only He can fully do thatIt’s not really off topic if you think about what society wants in a person (to be vain and worried about if you’re good enough) and what God wants for you (to be the person He wants you to be…the one He created). It’s to show that we can feel a bit insecure to a point, but when it comes down to it, God provides all, knows all, sees all, and loves all for who we are and He wants us to see others as well as ourselves for who we really are inside and out…perfect in His eyes. No surgery can give you that.
I also think a lot of emphasis is placed that women only worry about their looks, when I think that some men do too. Well, I know some men do, and it is sort of annoying! I have a friend who is shorter, for a man, and his fiance is maybe a couple inches taller. But he was always worried about his looks and wanting to land a lady. I think it was because he had a low self-esteem thinking he needed to be taller and over emphasized his outer looks by body building, etc…and he would tell me this too…when I just wanted to tell him to stop! trying to be what you think girls want you to be! It was annoying. So I am sure some guys think women are, too.
