who simply believe in Mother earth and faries and kind spirits. Pagan but not satanic.
Excuse me? What exactly do you think this mother earth spirit is? Fairys? Kind spirits?

Demonic. You should stay well away. But from the sound of your post I’d say you don’t have much of a problem with any of that, which is telling.

there is a HUGE difference between paganism and satanism. I do know the difference. Being of Native American decent I know alot about the spirits those who were unchurched believed in. In many cases these spirits brought the to the One True God eventually. God didnt just abandon the native americans and other pagans for thousands of years. He allowed natural truths to promigate. There were cultures that DID turn to devil worship and thats far different. Conversion was possible because native pagan faith is a bridge to catholocism…and as were seeing now…a path away. But its not demonic…it just is.

What is being referred to is Wicca/Witchcraft, which is a broad category of neopaganism. They are not the same as Native American traditions, ancient Chinese traditions, etc. Their beliefs are a mockery to God. These people know what they are doing, similar to satanists. Very many wiccans are truly angry at God, and so turn to “goddess” worship or other alternative worship. I know, because I know several wiccans. Every one of those whom I know is angry at the Christian God, which is generally because of an injury that happened to them during their life. This is actually very similar to satanists.

Yes, of course they have the opportunity to convert, as does any religion, including satanism.

Demonic at works, idolotry at best, not something that anyone would wish someone they love to be involved in.

Wicca is not Satanism. You can tell the difference because Wiccans do not worship Satan. I am told that worshiping Satan is generally considered a tenet of Satanism. Perhaps I have been misled.

Perhaps a better question is why my attitude toward Wicca should be different from my attitude toward other non-Abrahamic religions/philosophies.

You have to remember that there are many branches of Christianity outside of Catholicism that teach that anything that is not worshiping Christ is worshiping Satan. In fact, in the Baptist church I grew up in, if you weren’t the specific type of Baptist that we were, you were following Satan and not God.

It makes it very difficult for a person to see it any other way when that is what they have been taught all their life.

I think because those who use witchcraft are trying to gain power for their own purposes which are not always good intentioned.

How do you protect yourself? Church/Eucharist/Sacrements/Adoration, in particular a State of Grace with constant prayer. Blessed Mother “highly recommended” in the Rosary

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen
