That’s wonderful!
What happened to give you hope?
I contacted her, she said no, I asked her for some parting advice, she seemed to open up, but still said no, but still replied, she said to someone else that she’s weighing things up again. I must’ve rekindled something, it’s not love, it’s not even warm feelings, but I think it might be an awareness of some level of reality. Not saying I really love or trust her yet either, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves, it’s maybe a chance to get to know her again, and that’s enough.
Even more importantly, I feel more peace about it, like I know whatever choice we make now will be the will of God, whatever we decide we’ll decide together (though still apart) but with one thing in common, prayerfulness (and a neurotic tendency to over-think things, one thing we share), so it will be right, and then it will be time to move on with life together or to move on with life apart. If we part, it will be on friendlier terms than last time, and that’s enough.
Still, I have the courage to dare to ask, and to ask fervently the prayers especially of Our Lady and St Joseph, of St Raphael, St Jude, patron of lost causes, and St Valentine, on whose feast day we re-established contact, and you my brothers and sisters, pray for us!
