I don’t know what school you went to but my Jesuit one actually taught me that “Mommy says so” is not enough. The same goes with “Church says so.” You have to validate your reasoning on your own and with facts.I do not know how much of a fallacy it is to appeal to what my mom taught me when I refuse to eat without first washing my hands, or to what the Church taught me when I refuse to profess that the Church enables evil
