Fourthly:

The means of calling people to Islam are many and various, such as the following:

1- Direct discussion, in which we should focus on the merits of Islam, the truth of Tawheed, the importance of faith, the truthfulness of the message of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and then explain the falseness of other religions and the distortions and alterations that have befallen them.

2- Giving books and pamphlets which speak of Islam and encourage people to enter into it.

3- Directing others to sites which explain Islam and call people to it, and answer the specious arguments of those who oppose it, and debate with them in the manner that is better.

The one who calls others to Islam must be equipped with Islamic knowledge and strong faith, so that he may resist specious arguments and temptations. Otherwise he should leave this field to others, and fear Allaah with regard to himself and not expose himself to things that may lead to doom. The Muslim should beware of letting any love for the kaafir enter his heart.

It is not permissible to congratulate the kuffaar on their festivals in any way whatsoever

Question:
What is the ruling on eating the food (rice, meat, chicken or cake) that is given to us by a Christian friend that he made for his birthday or for Christmas or the Christian New Year? What is your opinion on congratulating him by saying, “Insha Allaah you will continue to do well this year” so as to avoid saying Kull ‘aam wa antum bi khayr (approx. “season’s greetings”) or “Happy New Year” etc?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

It is not permissible for a Muslim to eat things that the Jews and Christians make on their festivals, or what they give him as a gift on their festivals, because that is cooperating with them and joining in with them in this evil, as is explained in question no. 12666.

It is not permissible for him to congratulate them on their festivals in any way whatsoever, because that implies approval of their festival and not denouncing them, and helping them to manifest their symbols and propagate their innovation, and sharing their happiness during their festivals, which are innovated festivals that are connected to false beliefs that are not approved of in Islam. See also question no. 47322.

And Allaah knows best.

Muslims worship the God of Abraham.

Not so. Read Genesis 19. Abraham worshiped God in the tri-personal form of the Three Angels: representing Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

There IS no God but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and Jesus is God Incarnate!

This web site abocve is a Q&A for Muslims ask their religionist.

(kaafir: meaning is a non-muslims like Christians and Jews)

Should she end her relationship with some kaafir women or use the opportunity for da’wah?

Question:
I am a woman who corresponds with some European and American women via the internet. We have been exchanging gifts and discussing sewing ideas for two years. I have tried to talk to them about Islam, but I stopped for fear that I do not know enough to call them to Islam and I might make some mistakes. What do you advise me to do – should I cut off my ties with them altogether or should I carry on with the aim of calling them to Islam despite the difficulties – and how should I begin? Is this relationship regarded as friendship, and what is the Islamic ruling on it?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:

It is not permissible for a Muslim man or woman to take a male or female friend who is not a Muslim, because Allaah has forbidden us to love the kuffaar or take them as close friends and companions, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“You (O Muhammad) will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad), even though they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred (people). For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with Rooh (proofs, light and true guidance) from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens (Paradise) under which rivers flow, to dwell therein (forever). Allaah is pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the party of Allaah. Verily, it is the party of Allaah that will be the successful”

[al-Mujaadilah 58:22]

“O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Awliyaa’ (friends, protectors, helpers), they are but Awliyaa’ of each other. And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa’), then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allaah guides not those people who are the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers and unjust)”

[al-Maa’idah 5:51]

“O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitaanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:118]
Frank, the Sheikh who is giving answers to the questions must be a Muslim extremist. For one, as far as I can remember none of the Muslim posters here would agree with his teachings.

58:22, 5:51,3:118 are to be understood diffferently and never meant NOT to take non-Muslims as friends. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

004.144 O ye who believe! Choose not disbelievers for (your) friends in place of believers. Would ye give Allah a clear warrant against you ?

I don’t recall a whole lot of worshipping going on in that scene. But I suppose if you believe that, you have to believe that Jews also don’t worship the same God.
I don’t believe Jews worship the same God I do. My God is The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Since Jews don’t believe Jesus to be the Son of God, then, no, I suppose not.

But, then again, I am just learning about my beliefs. I definitely don’t believe my God is the same as Allah. I certainly don’t believe Mohammed to be a prophet.

Hi

The above verse is intended for the intolerant INFIDELS of Mecca who were in fight with the peaceful Muhammad. It is not intended against Catholics or Non-Catholic Christians againt whom Muhammad had no fight in his lifetime.

The verse should be understood with its clear context, I mean.

At first glance, Islamic belief appears to be almost compatible with Christianity and/or Judaism. Often people claim that the Muslims believe in the same God as the Christians: “They just don’t accept Jesus Christ”. However, as we shall see, the Muslim God is not like the Christian God. Islam rejects the biblical doctrines of the Trinity and the diety of Christ.
For the Muslim, Allah is the only true God. There is no such blasphemous thing as the “Trinity”. The Muslim God is unapproachable by sinful man, and the Muslim’s desire is to submit to the point where he can hold back the judging arm of Allah and inherit eternal life in an earthly paradise of gluttony and sexual gratification. Muslims have no concept of God as a loving and compassionate father.
to the Muslim, Jesus Christ is merely one of the prophets of Allah. According to Islam, the prophet Muhammed supersedes Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ is not the Son of God or a part of any Trinity. We are told that He was nothing but a slave on whom God showed favor (Sura 43:59) Yet elsewhere we are told the Messiah is not a slave (Sura 4:172). Jesus Christ did not atone for anyone’s sins, although He himself was sinless (Sura 3:46).
They say Jesus Christ did not die on the cross. Various Muslim traditions say that He either miraculously substituted Judas Iscariot for himself on the cross, or that God miraculously delivered Him from the hands of The Romans and Jews before He could be crucified. Most Muslims believe that Jesus Christ was taken bodily into Heaven without having died.
In the Quran, Jesus did miracles, Muhammed did not. Jesus was sinless, but Muhammed sinned and needed forgiveness.
Jesus was called “the Messiah” and was even born of a virgin, yet Muhammed is supposed to be the greatest of the prophets!!
Aside from two, just two passages in the Quran, there is not a single passage in the Quran that indicates that God loves any portion of mankind, nor is there a single verse that indicates that people can know God on a personal level.
Funny how much my Muslim friend refers to God as all mercyful: (

by the way

[2.195] And spend in the way of Allah and cast not yourselves to perdition with your own hands, and do good (to others); surely **Allah loves **the doers of good

[3.31] Say: If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults, and Allah is Forgiving, MercifuL

[3.134] Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others).

Hm.

Where are all the Muslims on here?? That is why I started the thread? Can’t you Muslims defend your own “religion?” Or are you afraid you just don’t have the answer…
well,

You posted claims that were easily proven false, and in a propagandist tone

Why would they take you seriously?

Pax vobiscum!

I am getting sick of people saying that Muslims don’t worship the same God as Christians. Muslims worship the God of Abraham. Christians worship the God of Abraham. Now, obviously the Muslims have an incorrect understanding of who and what that God is and THAT is the difference. You might as well say that the Jews worship a different God than Christians because the Jews do not believe in the Trinity either.

No I am not saying that Islam is equal to Christianity, before anyone accuses me of that.

In Christ,
Rand
Rand, by that same token, if someone comes to you and tells you that your father is his father and then takes out a piece of craap from his pocket and says ‘see, this is my father’. I suppose you will embrace his father as your father? Both of you have only 1 father and he claims to be a son of your father.

DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO YOU? ITS THE EXACT SAME LOGIC THAT YOU ARE USING.

The bible says that the people of God are known by Him and only they (His sheep) can hear His voice (their shepherd).

So, if you are NOT a child of God but you insist on telling everyone here that your god is the islamic pagan idol, are we then to join you in your outrageous folly?

Hi Ahmadi,

I started to read the Our’an, so that I can understand the hate for Christians and Jews that seems to come for countries that are mainly Muslim in the world.

You don’t seem to be like them; but how can I be so sure?? It is allow from Muslims to lie if will help there religion. I have seen this on the computer with films showing it happening.

My mother told me that one can not demand respect it has to be earned. If Muslims want to live in peace with Christians then there would be a way to show that; if Muslims like you are true. It would be asked of you to turn those people over to countries like the United States to be placed in prision for the rest of their lives.

The Muslims that commit crimes against Christians, Jews and Hindus must be made to pay the price. That is the only way there will be peace in this world.

I’ve watch Muslims leaders condem terror attack one time and praised the highjacker of the planes that hit the World Trade Centers the next time. I could go on with manes of many Muslims leaders that have done that.

It is up to you to prove who you’re to us not the other way around.

I worked for a company that had dealing with the companies that worked out of the World Trade Center in NY City. It was my job to set up the calls for our customers and I talk to them everyday. You get to know people and on a first mane bases.

One week before 9/11/2001 the people that I got to know at the world trade center called in a conferance call so that they could wish me many blessing on my gettig married to a great woman.

How may of those people die that day that will live in my mined for the rest of my life. I remember getting a call from a woman that worked at the World Trade Center, I could hear her fear that she felt in her heart. I can never forget that day.

Tell me how should I feel about, what has taken place and what is happening in Middle East??? Can you please answer me???

I wish no evil on anybody I just want to see a better future for this nation for all free people in the world. I want to see an end to the terror that we see in this world.

Muslims will have to deal with there own problems they make for themselves and not blame them on the United States.

I have always treated everyone the same. If one happen to be a Christian, Jew, Muslim or Hindu made no difference to me.

My parents raised me right and to show respect to my fellow man. I hope you will agree with my statement that I made in my chat with you.

I will be looking for your chat to come.

Have a great day.

Hi Ahmadi,
Hi

I like your post. You seem to be a nice man/woman, and you are peaceful and respectful.

Ahmadi peaceful Muslims don’t like telling lies, you could check it from the books of our founder Mirza Ghulam Ahmad 1835-1908, the PromisedMessiah. We are being persecuted by our fellow Muslims just because we are peaceful and we believe no coercion/compulsion in the matters of religion, be believe in peaceful dialogue.

You could please verify this from the teachings of the PromisedMessiah ( all of his books are hundred years old) by accessing:
alislam.org/

I think reading any of his books would clear all your doubts.

Nice getting introduced to you.

Thanks

Hi paarsurrey,

I would like to thank you for a fast response to my chat.

I’m a guy so that you will know in the future as we talk to one another in other chats.

Have many questions I would like to ask of you if can answer?? I know that I would take time to put all the question together. Let me think what would be good ones for you to answer for me.

I not sure if you have look at up what religion I am?? I’m Eastern Orthodox Christian.

I have know Muslims before from people I work with. Thery were fom Bosnia and the other that work along side were from Serbia and Croatia.

You could say that would see the wars that sometime would erupted among the three groups I worked with. I ways treated them all a like. When you have three different religions in the same place you have to walk an even road.

The Muslims from Bosnia learn to trust me after a time. I like the people that once worked with back in mid=1990. We did have problems with two Muslim there because of the war that had happen in their countries. That was it. The rest tried to work with one another.

When I work with them I was at the time a Roman Catholic so maybe that made it easier for them to talk with me. I remembered talk with them one day and let it slip that I was going to convert and become Orthodox Christian. They asked me why I would do that? They said that I was Italian and expeted me to stay part of the Latin Church. I toild them that I was feeling drawn to the faith that I would embrace shortly after.

I not sure how they see now; maybe I am part of the enemy now that I Orthodox Christian. I can’t read their mind.

I have no ill feels for you or your fellow Muslims. I just want to live in peace with you people. I sure my fellow Christian bothers and sisters feel the same.

One thing that I have yet to tell you was that my grandmother family were kill by Muslims in the home town located in Italy. One of the Muslims that I would with she was very kind to me. She didn’t pratice her religion. She would best be labled a liberal when it come to her life. Her husband was Catholic and her son married a Serbian girl. Hmmmm I say very liberal at that.

Would like to say maybe you can show me a diffferent side of Islam… It will take sometime to build that trust with Muslims.

Fast question “do you every wish Christians Marry Christmas as a show of respect” ?? I still think of what was said that it was not allow in your religion???

I look forward to asking you many questions.

One thing I do want to say I am a very committed Christian and my faith rest on Jesus Christ. I been all my life as a Christian and when it comes time I die I will die as one.

I wish you well with your life. I not sure if you have a holiday coming up so I what every it may be have a happy one.

Frank

Im showing how Islam’s actions are identical the Church of Old.

Your arguement is based on how can Islam have its ppl kill christians seing as they believe in the same God. Simple, they view Christianity as heracy. The same tactic was used by Protestants and Catholics to justify their wars agaisnt each other.

So unless you believe Protestants and jews also worship different gods than catholics, your point is moot
Um, I am no theologian or anything, but from what i understand, Islam and muslims believe that they are supposed to kill anyone who is not of their religion. That was not a one time belief, that is in the Quaran(how to spell?) to this very day, right? Am I correct in that understanding? My point being that the people who were in charge of the Catholic church when they persecuted people for “heresy”, they were a false organization of men, their actions show that they were not good catholic christians. but it is definately not a teaching in our Bible to persecute people and kill anyone who is not of our religion. that was something that happened but is not something being taught to this day as it is in the islam religion? This was more of a question than anything, but I just dont think it is right to judge the entire catholic church, and all who are in it, by sinful and murderous things that some people claiming to be catholics did at a time in history. again its not a belief of ours that we need to kill people outside our religion! we are taught to spread Gods LOVE, and show His MERCY!!! not just kill! :signofcross: :gopray2:

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:

It is not permissible for a Muslim man or woman to take a male or female friend who is not a Muslim, because Allaah has forbidden us to love the kuffaar or take them as close friends and companions, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“You (O Muhammad) will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad), even though they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred (people). Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:118]

Secondly:

It is permissible for a Muslim to correspond with them and to give them gifts, with the aim of calling them to Islam and showing them its beauty, subject to the condition that he has sufficient knowledge and faith which will enable him to call them and protect him against the specious arguments and devious methods of the people. But the one who is not equipped to do so should not involve himself in this field, because of the temptations to which he may be exposed, or the doubts with which he may be faced and be unable to refute, in which case it would lead to his going astray and being doomed – Allaah forbid.

Thirdly:

If this correspondence is limited to the exchange of sewing ideas and benefiting from them in this way, without it involving loving them, regarding them as friends, congratulating them on their festivals etc, then there is nothing wrong with it in sha Allaah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to interact with the Jews, buying and selling.

There is nothing wrong with giving gifts to them, subject to the condition that they are not in a state of war against Islam and the Muslims. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Allaah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allaah loves those who deal with equity”

[al-Mumtahanah 60:8]

al-Sa’di (may Allaah have mercy on him) said (p. 1016):

i.e., Allaah does not forbid kindness, upholding of ties and good and fair treatment of mushrikeen among your relatives and others, so long as they are not fighting against you on account of religion or driving you out of your homes. There is no sin in upholding ties with them, because there is nothing wrong with upholding ties with them in this case. End quote.
I thank my God for his love and mercy. It is sad and frightening to think of a cold heartless dictator of a god that is being called allah. My Lord teaches us to love even our enemies, and love our neighbors as ourselves. LOVE LOVE LOVE! it sounds like allah teaches hatefulness and disregard for human life and hatred for other people just because they arent of the same religious views as islam, even if they are kind and peaceful people! wouldnt you rather be wrapped in the love and mercy of Jesus Christ then anything else!?
Thank you Lord for your love and continuous forgiveness! :crossrc: :signofcross:

Hi CatholicMelody,

Always remember action speak louder the words.

Allah, whom Muslims worship is not the same god that Christian’s, worship. The views of the two religion can’t be reconciled, for it they were the same GOD. GOD would have a Dr Jeckel and Mr. Hyde personality if we were to believe that it was the same GOD.

I don’t any peace between the two religions now or in the future the world views are too different and to far apart.

The GOD of the Christians is a GOD that loves all mankind and not just the few. HE gives mankind free will to choice to choosing good or evil. That same choice goes for choosing the true GOD.

I feel that Muslims will have to show and prove that they are peaceful. The only thing that stand in the way is the Oru’an and how it is interpreted.

islam.tc/quran/
Qur’an English Translation

Only one has to read in order to see what they believe. Remember that peace is spelled two ways, peace and piece.

They say that the web site that you have quoted from me was the nut cases but is it?? Or do they make up the main stream?? Only time will tell. Do you know that the Saudis religionist books that are sent to the Mosque here in U.S.A for instructions teach that Christian’s and Jew’s are seen as pig’s and monkeys?

Many would like to over look this and say they don’t mean it or it is nothing. On what one believes will affect on how they react to others out in the world. If they see us as pig’s and monkeys who will they respect you as a human or just an animal.

Sometime truth is had to take, but yet we must show the light of hate like this.

Looking forward to reading what others think.
