seraphime. In the Quran Allah indicates that things will be better and its an accepted interpretation that the pleasures will not deminish but instead become better every day. To understand the reality of this please read the last few paragraphs my post #261. Here is the link:

What I mean to say it seems that Muslims are lured to the kind of heaven for everlasting pleasure of the body. It fails to see that even in this world, happiness is not a consequence of having pleasure and guaranteed pleasure. Your depiction of a paradise with increasing pleasure just make me feel that your kind of goal in this life is so trivial, it’s almost analogical with taking opium, the previous dose doesn’t bring the same pleasure, then you take higher dose or take higher type of drug…it’s very hollow!
If you realize, the happiness of life of people on this very world relies very much on meaningful relationship, how people make sense of lives by put meaning on relationship of love and how they make purpose out of it. The pleasure is not the purpose, you live in this world not for the purpose of eating, sex, and all those carnal pleasure. I tell you already that many people of this world, having the ability to satisfy those desires, still at some point feel bored, not because they cannot reach the higher pleasure, it’s just they get bored because they don’t have any meaning and purpose to their life, they don’t have the necessary love, anymore purpose or meaningful connection to people.
I still believe, that my Lord Jesus have already guaranteed me more blissful life in reuniting with Him, a true happiness that last because of love, relationship and fulfillment. I even think, how wonderful the heaven will be if it also includes in relating to the people of the world someway, somehow, seeing how the world becomes a better place in a mystical way…

perhaps, anyway if we still become the partner of God someway, somehow. It’s said somewhere that angels in heaven are rejoicing when one soul in this world can be saved…

I remember that in her biography, mother Theresa of Calcutta saying that she would rather be in the kind of heaven that would still make her able to bring light for the soul that is enveloped by darkness than just enjoying the pleasurable heaven.
