What do you call someone who believes Muhammed was a prophet and that the Quran is the word of God? A Muslim. You refuse a simple statement that would clarify what you are and end the controversy. We don’t ask you to insult them just to disagree with them on these key points in a specific way. Any Christian could say those things and no Muslim could. I purposefully boxed you in so that you would have to make a choice. I even offered to forgo any retaliation for lying about your religious affiliation. It would be dropped and we wouldn’t mention it again. I can’t be any fairer then that. This issue will not go away. You can’t just ignore it because it will hound you on every thread. You will be viewed as an infiltrator, a troll. I want to put this behind us. You seem to want the same thing. So just say it and that will be that. Otherwise your position will become untenable. I have been on lot’s of forums and that is what usually happens. Just say yay or nay so we can move on.

I can understand his dilemma. He has been lying for quite awhile. So he asks himself how he can get out of this. He can try to ignore it, but that won’t work in the long run. He can leave in a huff. Which would simply confirm our suspicion. He can fess up to being a Muslim. He probably doesn’t think I will let it slide. It will certainly harm his position. No easy way out for ole’ Achmed. No doubt he is cursing this kaffir to hell right now. It was inevitable that his cover would be blown. He did pretty well keeping it up for this long. Maybe he is a Muslim convert or has lived here for sometime. But it ain’t going to go away.

pro, take some time and think about it. I will keep my promise. Cest won’t break his word. Just admit it and that will be that. I swear it.
 
well i knew Pro is muslim from his first posts but he kept negating it…it’s easy to sense a muslim mindset just if you apply Isaiah’ words: woe to you who see evil good and good evil.

now you all cornered him so i won’t be surprise if he denounced islam to get out of it…anyway, his mindset is clear…muslim.

No. I have already said what my Faith is, and that’s what you do at mass, and requiring specific insults to another religion in addition is asinine.

I will respond to no more challenges to my faith, because they are off topic and have nothing to do with the substance of my posts.

You tell us, you say you are Catholic. What do you say each Mass that states your beliefs? What does it say about Jesus?
 
Lutherans, pentecostals, and Jews are not perpetrating terrorist acts against Christians. Flying a false flag as a means of getting amongst the unsuspecting is the mark of a quisling. You are no more a Catholic than I am Southern Baptist. It’s rather shameful in my opinion showing a complete and total lack of honor, a concept I find almost totally lacking in you peace loving Muslims.

This is becoming a circus.

The only possible basis from my posts that you have for calling me a muslim is that I don’t think it appropriate to bash muslims.

I have stated repeatedly that I am Catholic and believe in Jesus. What happens when I do that?

“Ah ha! Well if you’re Catholic, recite a whole mass for us in print so we know that you know the routine!”

“Oh, but if you’re Catholic, you must also bash Islam! [the very thing I’m saying we shouldn’t do as Catholics]”

Whatever more I say will be on the topic of Islam and Fear in this thread, and not on the topic of “so and so thinks pro is muslim because he won’t insult another’s faith on the demands of some forum members”.

So, to get us back on the topic, I will requote cestusdei and what attitude I am responding to as a Catholic:
I tell you this now. I would rather nuke the entire Islamic world then live like that. I would rather Mecca, Medina, and everything go up in flames and radioactive dust for 10,000 years then be a slave to Muslims.

Now, as Catholics, what do you all think your Parish priests would tell you about this statement? What do you think the position of the Church is on nuking all the muslim holy sites?

Can you all honestly claim that you’re defending our Church if you don’t react with outrage to statements like this by a self-said priest?
 
Forget bashing muslims, pro, if you can just write the three or so lines from the creed that talk about Jesus then the doubters will be happy and you can get on with your productive(?) discussion.

If you are truly interested in being taken seriously then you sometimes have to meet people where they are on minor points.

If anyone wants to discuss the issue seriously, respond to my post above on the substance of the idea that muslims should be nuked. Then we can have a serious discussion instead of the “say x y and z to prove you’re catholic even though you actually being Catholic has nothing to do with this thread” circus.

Pro, it is easy…if you are Christian, then automatically quran is not from God neither mohammad…that’s not hard.

Okay, what in the Catholic tradition of the just war would permit nuking muslim holy sites in response to terrorism?

I posted a statement from the USCCB above. What did you think of that?

sorry gtg now its very late…the just war tells you in what special circumstances you should react…it’d be better if you read it again and see when it becomes crucial that you act to defend your people from massacres or sure danger. To act, there must be a valid reason.

Hope someone can elaborate more…see you tomorrow God willing…nighty

Didn’t you read my post? That’s why I said FORGET bashing Muslims - if you are a Catholic and a faithful follower of the Church then you should have no problems professing that faith proudly, at any time for any reason or no reason at all.

I’ll even make it easier for you - I’LL write the relevant lines because I AM proudly Catholic, and all you have to do is write two words - ‘I agree’. The lines I’m thinking of are these:

‘I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God, begotten not made, of one being with the Father …’

Now do you subscribe to this Creed or not, pro? Time to show your hand bud.

Okay, look. What’s obvious so far is that pro is either a Muslim or a moral relativist. I don’t know what he/she labels themself, but I CAN tell a tree by it’s fruit if you know what I mean. So end of discussion on that.

Anyway, it looks like Muslims and such have pretty successfully hijacked and derailed this thread’s original topic beyond recognition. To avoid this kind of thing in the future, please do not feed the trolls… If anyone wants to get back on topic or talk about something constructive, maybe we should discuss exactly what action we’re supposed to take in response to the extreme wussifying of societies like we read about in the OP?
