The keyboard you are using to type on your computer screen and post on the internet are recent and modern advances. The numbers I am writing are not an invention of recent memory.
did i neglect your technologies ?i`m just pointing on that your sciences is based on islamic science ,for example algebra
numbers you are writing are invention or muslims ,not discovery

Genesis does not speak to an afterlife, as the Garden of Eden existed before death came into the world. Hence, there was no “afterlife” in Genesis.
did i posted from genesis only?
second ,no proof that its not of the afterlife

Not quite. Our numbers are of Hindu-Indian origin. Arab scientists and mathematicians adopted this system (they didn’t invent it) and European scholars studying in the Arab world brought the system to the Continent. And you are talking about the *pre-Islamic *world, which only emphasizes the charge by some critics that Islam stifles creativity and discovery.

Almost entirely from Genesis, except for a metaphor from Matthew referring to drinking of the vine, I believe. I’d have to go back and look. Perhaps that was the passage referring to the blood of Christ?

Proof that Genesis does not refer to the afterlife: No afterlife existed until death came into the world through man’s original sin and consequential expulsion from paradise (called The Garden of Eden in Genesis). This paradise was on earth.

both:) ,read **all verses **and seek help of your brothers instead of saying things contradicting bible
None of this has to do with the OP
So I would like to know the beliefs for muslims and what heaven or paradise is to them.
Who gets to go there and will women and men be in this same paradise together, or are they separated?
I know the understanding of the church teaching for catholics and we believe in heaven in a much different way.
Thats obvious, but we dont believe there will be anymore sexual pleasure. I hear different for the muslims and would like someone to elaborate if they could.
He wasn’t asking for Christian belief. I would like to hear more on this especially Do women go where men go when they die?

do you say that Garden of eden is on earth?
i`m waiting for other verses and i have more 🙂 i just gave you some ,the others i have are not of genesis ,but now answer what i told you ,is Garden of eden on earth ,what is your proof ,
what about other verses

Right. A Hindu-Indian invention, before Islam, that was adopted by the Arabs and later Europeans. I don’t know why we are discussing a Hindu-Indian invention in the pre-Islamic world in a thread about women and heaven in Islam.

Yes, the Garden of Eden was on earth. The proof that I have of that is that Genesis is the creation story:

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters."God makes the first day and night; the “firmament” separating “the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament;” dry land and seas and plants and trees which grew fruit with seed; the sun, moon and stars in the firmament give light upon the earth; creates air-breathing sea creatures and birds; and on the sixth day, makes “the beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” “Then God said, Let us make man in our image … in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” On the seventh day God rests from the task of completing the heavens and the earth: “So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all his work which he had done in creation.”
God forms a man "of dust from the ground,"and breathes into the man’s nostrils, “and man became a living being.” God sets the man in the Garden of Eden and permits him to eat of all the fruit within it, except that of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, “for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.” God decides to make him a helper for the man, and makes “every beast of the field and every bird of the air, …whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name… but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.”

But Islam is not responsible for the creation of Indian Numbers, so I still don’t get the connection to Islam and creativity/invention.

your ahmadhassan arent you?

Right. A Hindu-Indian invention
, before Islam, that was adopted by the Arabs and later Europeans.
I don’t know why we are discussing a Hindu-Indian invention in the pre-Islamic world in a thread about women and heaven in Islam.
The reason the topic was changed is because duba5 (aka ahmadhassan) does not want the topic of this thread to be answered and explored. Now why is that?

You see his normal tacktic when someone changes the topic of a thread that he wants to push is to refuse to respond to anything that deviates off topic… so whats up?

I think he does not want people to fully understand that women in Islamic version of heaven get one of two fates depending on interpretation…

Either they become eternal virgins to serve as one of the 72 brides (sex slaves) of mulim men… But since most women go to hell… this cannot be it.

Or they get to go to heaven and remain with the husband they had on earththey watch their husbands with 72 virgins… now who are those women? Sounds like hell for Muslim women. I guess in reality Muslim women suffer as though they were in hell no matter where they go.

Note that these beautiful ‘women’ that the Muslims will marry in heaven are called “houris”. What is a “houris”?

Koran 44:51-55
….Yes and We shall wed them to dark-eyed houris. (beautiful virgins)

Koran 78:31
As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph. Theirs shall be gardens and vineyards, and high- bosomed virgins for companions: a truly overflowing cup.
What a ‘houris’ Is not is human. Here is a description of what they look like.

*Sahih Bukhari, Book 54: Number 476: *Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “The first batch (of people) who will enter Paradise will be (glittering) like the full moon, and the batch next to them will be (glittering) like the most brilliant star in the sky. Their hearts will be as if the heart of a single man, for they will have neither enmity nor jealousy amongst themselves;**everyone will have two wives from the houris, (who will be so beautiful, pure and transparent that) the marrow of the bones of their legs will be seen through the bones and the flesh.” **

usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/054.sbt.html

They sound like demonic creatures to me…. Huge black eyes, big boobs and transparent skin. Scary

Hi All 🙂

In reference to the inequality of male and female within Islam let me quote ‘ONLY SOME’ on what Mohammad (and the early biographers) had to say about women and paradise. (quotes from thereligionofpeace.com and prophetofdoom.com)

Bukhari:V1B22N28
“**The Prophet said: ‘I was shown the Hell Fire and the majority of its dwellers were women **who are disbelievers or ungrateful.’ When asked what they were ungrateful for, the Prophet answered, ‘All the favors done for them by their husbands.’”

Muslim:B1N142
"‘O womenfolk, you should ask for forgiveness for I saw you in bulk amongst the dwellers of Hell.'

Abu Dawud At-Tayalisi
recorded that Anas said that the Messenger of Allah said,
<In Paradise, the believer will be given such and such strength for women.>
Anas said, "I asked, 'O Allah’s Messenger! Will one be able to do that? He said,
<He will be given the strength OF A HUNDRED (MEN)> At-Tirmidhi also recorded it and said, “Sahih Gharib.” Abu Al-Qasim At-Tabarani recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah was asked, "O Allah’s Messenger! Will we have sexual intercourse with our wives in Paradise?" He said,

Bukhari:V3B48N826

"The Prophet said, ‘Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?’ The women said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of a woman’s mind.’"

Ishaq:584
"Tell the men with you who have wives: never trust a woman."

Bukhari:V4B52N143V5B59N523

“When we reached Khaybar, Muhammad said that Allah had enabled him to conquer them. It was then that the beauty of Safiyah was described to him. Her husband had been killed, so Allah’s Apostle selected her for himself. He took her along with him till we reached a place called Sad where her menses were over and he took her for his wife, consummating his marriage to her, and forcing her to wear the veil.’”

Tabari IX:113
"Allah permits you to shut them in separate rooms and to beat them, but not severely. If they abstain, they have the right to food and clothing. Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they possess nothing themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies lawful in his Qur’an."

Finally, you may not have read this one regarding Mohammad wedding the Virgin Mary in paradise, well read this from Ibn Kathir, to see for yourself:

“The Messenger of God … said, **‘God MARRIED ME IN PARADISE TO MARY THE DAUGHTER OF 'IMRAN **and to the wife of Pharaoh and the sister of Moses.’ (Tabarani)” (Ibn Kathir, Qisas al-Anbiya [Cairo: Dar al-Kutub, 1968/1388], p. 381- as cited in Aliah Schleifer’s Mary The Blessed Virgin of Islam [Fons Vitae; ISBN: 1887752021; July 1, 1998], p. 64; bold and capital emphasis ours)

The late Iranian Islamic scholar, Ali Dashti, wrote:
… According to the Cambridge Tafsir, the word thayyebat (widows or divorcees) refers to Pharaoh’s wife Asiya, and the word virgins (abkar) refers to Jesus’ mother Mary, both of whom are waiting to be married to the Prophet Mohammad in heaven. (Dashti, 23 Years: A Study of the Prophetic Career of Mohammad [Mazda Publishers, Costa Mesa, CA 1994], p. 138)
