Salaam/peace;marrying a divorced lady ( after passing her Iddat period ) is legal in Islam. Why raise question about a legal marriage ?
Of course it would be legal in Islam.
Is marrying a divorced lady prohibited in Christianity ? How come we see so many divroced Chrisitan women are getting married at the Church then ?
Actually, yes. In the eyes of the Catholic Church and God, it
is considered adultery.
**“Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” (Mark 10:9)
“For I hate divorce, says the LORD, the God of Israel, And covering one’s garment with injustice, says the LORD of hosts; You must then safeguard life that is your own, and not break faith.” (Malachi 2:16)
“Every one who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery” (Luke 16:18; cf. Mark 10:11–12)
"For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man." (Romans 7:2-3 [KJV]).

“In regard to chastity, [Jesus] has this to say: ‘If anyone look with lust at a woman, he has already before God committed adultery in his heart.’ And, ‘Whoever marries a woman who has been divorced from another husband, commits adultery.’ According to our Teacher, just as they are sinners who contract a second marriage, even though it be in accord with human law, so also are they sinners who look with lustful desire at a woman. He repudiates not only one who actually commits adultery, but even one who wishes to do so; for not only our actions are manifest to God, but even our thoughts” (First Apology 15 [A.D. 151]). - Justin Martyr
Muhammad saw Zainab Bint Jahsh scantily dressed, and commented on her great beauty. Zainab overheard this and that caused her to gloat; by then, the damage was already done.
Sura al-Ahzab Q.33: 37): "We married her off to you so that there would be no objection for believers in respect to their adopted sons’ wives once they have accomplished their purpose with them. God’s command must be done!"
Pretty much explains why Muslim women still wear the Burkha today.
