Good point , which country are you from btw?
Land Down Under! Good ol OZ!Good point , which country are you from btw?
I can understand how this was confusing, when I read it again I too was a little puzzled. I meant to say that Edris cannot claim alcohol is one of the factors of rape and death, these guys that raped this girl (mind you this was one of many gang rapes) were not intoxicated, it was broad daylight and they knew what they were doing. In Court they claimed that it was permitted to rape (yes they actually said RAPE) a women in their country. My point, they blame alcohol for rape and death, whats their excuse here in my country??? They claim its OK in their countries to do so.
Wat do you mean by this?
Listen, first of all, I don’t claim that alcohol is one of the factors of rape and death. This is a fact, not just a claim. Everyone knows here in North America 80% of rape cases are related to alcohol. Here are links, no one denies that:I can understand how this was confusing, when I read it again I too was a little puzzled. The leader of the pact got 55 years initially and his brother got 35 (???) or so years then there was a problem with one of the jury members attending the site where the rape happened (loop hole, apparenty clouded their judgment) so their sentences were reduced, the original sentences could have been upheld but the matter had to go before a jury once again and the girl that was raped couldnt face her attacker again in Court and go through the ordeal all over again.Guilty people say desperate things to try to get free. I hope these guys were punished.
Edris, this story is one of approximately 6-7 gang rapes UNFORTUNATELY all gangs were muslim. I truly feel for the muslims over here, especially the women, as they are targets now due to the behaviour of some of their brothers! I am not saying the rapes happened because of islam, these people claim islam allows it. You and I both know that is not true. I never denied the fact that alcohol can contribute to sexual assault and death, but the way I read your post, you claim thats why muslims are not allowed to drink and thats why the crime rate is so low???Listen, first of all, I don’t claim that alcohol is one of the factors of rape and death. This is a fact, not just a claim. Everyone knows here in North America 80% of rape cases are related to alcohol. Here are links, no one denies that:
"Death: 1,400 college students between the ages of 18 and 24 die each year from alcohol-related unintentional injuries,
Sexual Abuse: More than 70,000 students between the ages of 18 and 24 are victims of alcohol-related sexual assault or date rape. studentaffairs.cmu.edu/HealthServices/alcohol/
"There has been evidence to show that there is a strong link between alcohol consumption and sexual assault .yourzone.com.au/content/Health_lifestyle/Alcohol/Alcohol_related_rape_drink_spike%20.htm

Now regarding this story, you’ve been talking about. Ok i’m not gonna argue about the authenticity of this story. But it does mean anything. Simply it is rediculus to claim that this is because of Islam. If I want to narrate to you similar stories that take place here in canada crimes commited by christians, it’s endless.
Since you are from Australia. I have to mention this:
“Queensland’s Islamic community says its numbers have more than doubled in recent years, and it now boasts more than 15,000 followers, including those who’ve turned away from other religions such as Christianity.”
abc.net.au/am/content/2005/s1447377.htm
“Against all expectations, Australian Christians, including Catholics and Anglicans, and agnostics are finding Islam an answer to their spiritual voids.”
smh.com.au/articles/2003/11/17/1069027046245.html?from=storyrhs
"The most recent Australian Census in 2001 revealed a remarkable rate of growth in Australia’s Muslim population. The Census listed 281 576 Australian Muslims, an increase of some 40 per cent in five years, while the Australian population as a whole only grew by 5.7 per cent in the same period…Significantly, more than one-third of Australian Muslims are born in Australia.

If the image of Islam in australia is as dramatic as you claim. Then this won’t be happening right?

Hello gurrato alaien,Jesus was born of a virgin
Can you elaborate on this? It seems very disrespectful.he came from her womb and from dirty place like any man, how can you think that he is God or Son of God!!!
The BIBLE says watch out for the wolves in sheep clothing.Wake up - Brothers and Sisters Christians - Before it’s too late
Muslims do believe that Jesus (A.S.) was sent down as a Prophet of Allah (God), but he (Jesus) is not God or Lord, nor the Son of God. and this will not put him down as some people think.
God have no son no wife no mother no father no partner, unique eternal invisible Most beneficent, the Most Merciful. Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnibenevolet, it’s the biggest sin while they don’t know.
Christians have committed a great blasphemy by trying to attribute a son to God. Jesus was born of a virgin he came from her womb and from dirty place like any man, how can you think that he is God or Son of God!!!
God may forgives any sins except shirk (associate partner with him like son)
We believe that God ever chose to come down to earth in a form of a man to die for our sins to purify us and forgive us. According to Islam, Jesus never died on the cross, nor ever wanted to die on the cross, nor ever was born to die on the cross. Muslims believe that Jesus was sentenced to death, and people thought that he got executed on the cross. The Holy Quran rejects this idea, and claims that it is a false one. Jesus never died on the cross, nor he ever died for anyone’s sins. Muslims believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) according to the Holy Quran is a wonderful, generous messenger of God who came down and revealed God’s words to his people, the people of Israel. We believe that he was raised to heaven and is there, and will descend at the appointed time, end all wars, and bring peace to the world. Like Jesus (A.S.), Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is also a Prophet and Messenger. Muhammed (P.B.U.H.) is the last Prophet, though, and there is none after him. Hence, Islam is the last religion, complete, with the Holy Qur’an as the unchanged and perfect word of God for over 1400 years, as God promised to preserve it till the last day for all of humankind, unlike sacred texts of other religions which have multiple versions and are “revised” periodically. God, or Allah in Arabic, is Divine and Supreme Being and Creator.
- Verily, Allâh forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allâh in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin. (Qur’an 4:48)
- Verily! Allâh forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom he pleases sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allâh, has indeed strayed far away. (Qur’an 4:116)
“They slew him not, nor did they crucify him but it was made dubious to them.” (Holy Qur’an, Surah Nisaa, Verse 157)
- What the Holy Qur’an says about Jesus:
Now in: 157 above “…Nor did they crucify him …”
Let us look at verse 3:55 “Behold! Allah said: O Jesus! I will take thee And raise thee to Myself And clear thee (of the falsehoods) Of those who blaspheme; I will make those Who follow thee superior To those who reject faith, To the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, And I will judge Between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.”
Here we see that Allah Almighty promised Jesus (peace be upon him) to raise him to heaven. Jesus was charged by the Jews with blasphemy as claiming to be God or the son of God. The Christians (except a few early sects which were annihilated by persecution, and the modern sect of Unitarians), adopted the substance of the claim, and made it the cornerstone of their faith. Allah Almighty clears Jesus of such a charge or claim. Those who follow Jesus are the Muslims and the Christians who don’t believe he is God. All of the controversies about dogma and faith will disappear when we appear before Allah. He will judge not by what we profess but what we are.
Let’s look at verse 3:59 “The similitude of Jesus Before Allah is as that of Adam; He (Allah) created him (Jesus) from dust, Then said to him: Be. And he was.”
After a description of the high position which Jesus occupies as a prophet, we have a reputation of the dogma that he was Allah, or the son of Allah, or anything more than a man. If it is said that he was born without a human father, Adam was also so born. Indeed Adam was born without either a human father or mother. As far as our physical bodies are concerned, they are mere dust. In Allah’s sight Jesus was a dust just as Adam was or humanity is. The greatness of Jesus arose from the Divine command “Be”, for after that he was. He also was a great spiritual leader.

The Truth shall set you free. For God so loved the world, that He became man and took the flesh, and was born of the Virgin Mary, a woman untouched by Sin, the Immaculate Conception. A vessel so pure could only hold Him, who by His mercy and love, came down and lived among us.Cont…

El Cid; said:And very little peace among Muslims either.
And a maybe even a Heaven apart……Don’t try that condescending stuff to make islam seem more compatible with Christianity…they are a universe apart IMO.
