Today is the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes.

May be she had something to do with it, and made this big punch a big nothing.

God has not informed me that He has chosen you as His replacement. Where might I find official confirmation of this momentous news? You will I hope, pardon me from withholding congratulations from Your Hypothetical Divinity until you are confirmed in your high office.

On second thoughts, pardon doesn’t seem to be part of your platform. Did you get some of the more militant seraphim to support a coup? I know that the present Deity has been criticized for His overly lenient policies (some well-connected sources have hinted that a previous high personage in the celestial court withdrew from the Presence over similar concerns). But I have to say that I look on the possibility of His replacement by you with some trepidation.

what God wishes is fine by me. what YOU wish is revolting.

look, i totally agree it is a false and dangerous religion, but we all have bought into some falsehoods at some point in our lives that ended up hurting other people. pray for everyone walking around with bad information in their heads and you’ll be praying for yourself as well.

God desires all men to be saved and does not send anyone to hell. going to hell is our choice.

may i be nosy and ask what church you belong to?
I don’t see the logic in your statements.

You say that you are fine with God wishing the evil to go to hell, but my similar wish of the evil to go to hell is revolting.

Let’s rephrase this…Suppose you admire a man so much that whatever he holds in his hands you feel is clean, even if it is possibly not. But when I hold it in MY hand, it becomes faecal matter to you.

What this basically shows is this…that your basis of right or wrong is not based on the subject but on your preferences. Now, does that stem from a sense of righteousness? Obviously not.

Now, without righteousness, how do you proceed to bestow your ‘charities’ onto those whom you are not effectively able to identify as evil or good?

I say this not to defend myself, but to lead you to understand yourself better.

PS. I am not from any church you see on earth.

You did mean this as a joke…didn’t you? "Cause it’s hilariously funny

my logic makes no sense to you, because you do not understand. this has nothing to do with “God sending the evil”… i do hope God sends the evil to hell (and he has and continues to do so when he hurls the demons down there), but that is VERY different from sending people.

here is what you said:
And if there is anyone out there who still wants to say Islam Is Peaceful, let he/she go burn in hell.
you realize how close you sound to the painfully stupid muslims that yell, death to the non-believer all in the name of God… (disclaimer i am not saying only in the islamic religion can you find the painfully stupid. anytime a Christian kills an abortion doctor, or a buddhist monk who knows he has hiv and goes out and infects many of his followers… well they fall under that category too)

you and i are not perfect. and i am sure there is some information i hold in my head that is incorrect and some that you hold that also is incorrect which would make us both ignorant in those particular subjects. what kind of God would send us to hell for being ignorant? do a you tube search on garbage like “jew eating bunny” and you will see the filth that is being put into some muslim children’s minds at such an early age. the message is evil, not the muslims. count your blessings you were not born into that life. pray they overcome the hatred they were taught.

and again God does not send anyone to hell, rather there are some people that choose to defy his teachings and they condemn themselves. and as another poster pointed out, you have to see the difference between being ignorant and choosing evil.

as to the human being that deliberately chooses evil, God wants us to pray for them so they can see the error of their ways, repent and choose God. God wills that ALL be saved. His mercy is infinite. if God wills that all men be saved, then where do you get off hoping they won’t be? the bottom line is no human can say if another person is going to hell and we certainly shouldn’t be condemning anyone to hell ourselves.

how you came to the conclusion that God feels the same way as you do is beyond me. no wait, actually it’s not beyond me. you are a perfect example of how sublime theology can go bad when one individual reads Holy Scripture and decides what it all means for themselves. Scripture is NOT to be separated from the Holy Church that gave it to you. misunderstanding can lead to evil and we see it all the time in the news when some wack-a-doo thinks God wants him to be an executioner.

i think you mean well and hopefully just oversimplified evil getting out of our lives. i think we all struggle sometimes with hating the sin, but loving the sinner. you can hate islam, but you can’t hate muslims. we are all God’s children.

i hope you read through some of the sola scriptura threads, because your church from on yonder has really poor instructors.

peace.

The one who oversimplifies is you. Do you even know what you’re saying? The christian who kills the abortion doctor !!! GOSH!..You don’t even know what is a christian.

For goodness sakes, the Bible states very clearly to love your enemies. That murderers will GO TO HELL. Christians NEVER commits murder, nor seek to kill. That is against the very basic grain of the teachings of Christianity.

You are comparing evil with good and saying that because those who claim to follow the good God but end up doing evil are the same as those who are following the evil Demon and performing evil, therefore that good God must be equal to the evil Demon. And these people are the children of the same good God. THAT IS BLASPHEMY!

What does the non-contextual Quran say? I seriously doubt if you are trained in anything.

Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”

Qur’an:9:112 “The Believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed.”

Qur’an:9:29 “Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.”

PS. I’m not instructed by man.

i am going to go make myself some tea, and think about if i even want to respond to this.

however in the meantime, would you be so kind as to answer these two questions for me?
  1. who or what instructs you? and
  2. do you handle snakes?

Hello,

I hope you are not offended by non believers asking for clarification on some things you have said.

I have one question, who are you “instructed” by? Please explain this to me as a non believer trying to understand your beliefs, and respecting them even if we may disagree.

I don’t see the logic in your statements.

God doesn’t wish the evil to go to hell.

And to rephrase what I said in an earlier post–last I heard, God was still God and you were not. Do you understand that there is actually a difference between you and God, and that you don’t get to do everything God gets to do?
PS. I am not from any church you see on earth.
That kind of makes me feel better. I’d hate to think that there was a whole organized group of people who think like you (actually there is–there’s Westboro Baptist Church, for one thing). But on the other hand, your words are ominous. As I said in the earlier post, you may have some angels on your side. Just check to make sure they are the right kind of angels.

A Christian is someone who professes the Christian faith. People like you who try to redefine it to mean “someone whom I recognize as being in a right relationship with God” are doing violence both to orthodox Christianity and to language.
For goodness sakes, the Bible states very clearly to love your enemies. That murderers will GO TO HELL. Christians NEVER commits murder, nor seek to kill. That is against the very basic grain of the teachings of Christianity.
First of all, this is historically nonsense. Christians have frequently killed people, and continue to do so (though usually not today for purely religious reasons–but there are a lot of Christians in the U.S. military). Of course, traditionally there’s a distinction made between killing and murder.

And in the second place, I always find it astounding when people think it is so awful to kill and yet perfectly find to wish people to go to hell. Isn’t hell worse than physical death? Doesn’t it then follow that if it’s wrong to kill, it’s wrong to send people to hell or wish them to go there? You seem to be straining at a gnat after having swallowed a very large and revolting camel.
What does the non-contextual Quran say?
I’m not sure what that means. There is no non-contextual Qur’an or non-contextual anything. You can read things out of context if you want to, but that’s your mistake.
PS. I’m not instructed by man.
That would explain the general ignorance and foolishness of your posts.

Edwin

God wills ALL to be saved and does not delight in their damnation.
That is a perversion of your own creation.

i think mosacked went away.

anyway this is interesting:

**The terms “Middle East” and “oil-rich” are often taken together as synonyms of each other–as if every country in the Middle East were an oil-rich, oil-producing exporter. The reality is at odds with that assumption.

The Greater Middle East adds up to more than 30 countries. Only a few of those have significant oil reserves and produce oil enough to slake their energy needs and export oil as well. Several have minor oil reserves. Below is a list of oil-dry countries, followed, below the break, by a table ranking the Middle East’s oil-rich countries according to known oil reserves:**

**The Oil-Dry Nations of the Greater Middle East:
Code:
* Afghanistan
* Bahrain
* Cyprus
* Comoros
* Djibouti
* Eritrea
* Israel
* Jordan
* Lebanon
* Mauritania
* Morocco
* Somalia

2 Iran 136.3
3 Iraq 115
4 Kuwait 101
5 United Arab Emirates 97.8
6 Libya 41.5
7 Kazakhstan 30
8 Qatar 15.2
9 Algeria 12.70

i did not know that iran was second to saudi arabia. the money they generate from this oil does make one pause. think about how much wealth has pooled into sa and what they are doing with it. i don’t have any references handy right now, but i have read several reports of funding going to fundamentalist mosques. i might be wrong, but i thought cair was funded by them. will have to look that up when i’m not so tired.

i’m out of my league when it comes to physics and how to properly gage if indeed they are making large strides towards nuclear weapons, but anytime wealth transfers to a cruel regime like iran it does make me very uneasy.

have any of you listened to anne korin? i’d post the excellent links i used to have to one of her speeches, but it has been removed.

Amadinidjahd (sic)'s idea of a “punch in the mouth” seems to have been the announcement that he now considers Iran a nuclear power.

And here is my take on why the EU, Russia and China will do nothing about it, particularly the EU: the “powers that be” are actually hoping (because of their intense and inbred anti-Semitism) that Iran or some other middle-eastern country will attack Israel and destroy it. That would, they figure, solve their problem with that state because it would be considered a “middle east problem” and not theirs. That is why nobody is doing anything to Iran - the EU, Russia and China want Israel destroyed.

And I say it here - if Israel is attacked or if another holocaust occurs because of it, I truly believe that there will be such punishments from God immediately following this that the world will be thrown into tribulation the likes of which has never been seen, as Scripture says.

***“I will bless those who bless you, and him who curses you I will curse; and by you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
