1% is a very conservative estimate really but see the amount of people that be. 40 to 50% is not unrealistic figure though we can never be sure. The figure of declared supporters is transient. They surface in places or countries where the political climate is sympathetic or supportive to such cause, otherwise they would lie low where or when it is not.

Usually in countries where the Muslims population is predominant such extreme interpretation of Islam is often displayed publicly. In western countries where they are the minority, such display usually are more prudent.

Nevertheless, this got to do with belief. Whether or not a Muslim declares his support for terrorism openly, it’s the belief that’s within his heart and the teaching of Islam that decide his allegiance. Thus you have plenty of them actually agree in principle with what the terrorists believe, except they may differ on the strategy to achieve it.

I will stop short of saying that Islam is the cause of terrorism but having said that, there are many of its teachings that make it expedient for it to happen.

God bless.

I responded with the 1% ratio to prove a point. Awalt stated that it’s “only a few” that support terrorism and I just wanted to point out to him what even 1% can signify in a group as large as the Muslims.

  1. To defend their, and everyone’s right to worship, believe, and have opinions on whatever they think is their call from God or whoever they worship.
I would like to see a Muslim say that!!! Not very likely. It’s compulsory for them to try to “covert” us. I have read all arguments here very carefully and I am only convinced of one thing. Most Muslims are terrorists or support violence in the name of Islam. Can’t tell me differently. The Muslims who post seem to pick and choose soundbytes from the Qu’ran to show how “peaceful” they are. I don’t buy it. And neither does my friend, Mark Bingham, passenger on flight 93, you know, the one that crashed into a field in Pennsylvania? He and the other brave passengers saved countless lives that Muslims were ready to destroy. He gave his life for people he didn’t even know. That is in direct contradiction of the Muslims who wanted to TAKE the lives of people they didn’t even know. Mark wasn’t going to let the terrorists win and neither will I.
