Go live in say Saudi Arabia as an openly devote Christian woman. Maybe do a little proselytizing.
Hold on to your head.
There are no major Christian, Jewish or Muslim peace/human rights movements anywhere in the world. There are religious charities and there are secular political movements.Matt,
I see you can’t answer this question. I’ll ask it again:
Can you name me any major Islamic peace and/or human rights movement in the 20th or 21st century?
World Vision is a major protestant christian NGO which works with people of ll religions, Sisters of Charity do wonderful work with people of all religions.Vincent de Paul society for the very poor of all religions, and any true christian who really does not distinguish beteen a muslim christian or hindu when it comes to giving aid or help.If I am not mistaken, from Muslims to Muslims is a religious obligation. Not from Muslims to infidels. If I am not mistaken the Muslim charities give overwhelmingly to Muslims in need. Not primarily to Christians in need, or anyone else. Unlike many Christian charities that give to everyone in need.
I keep thinking of Catholic Charities who will give to just about anyone who asks, even those who speak out against the Catholic Church. You won’t find its kind in Islam.
Widely noted is not the same as true. Muslims gave generously to Tsunami victims. Remember most of the worlds Muslims are dirt poor by comparison with the average WesternerRe Muslim chaitable giving, it has been widely noted that the Muslim world was grosslyt deficient in its response to the tsnunami even though it largey affected other Muslims.
Most of the victims were Muslim. The Muslims are poor because their leaders live in opulance. Matt25, can you answer a question without asking a question. Name one Muslim charity that does not give 90% of it’s income to Muslim causes or Muslims.Widely noted is not the same as true. Muslims gave generously to Tsunami victims. Remember most of the worlds Muslims are dirt poor by comparison with the average Westerner
Actually Matt there is one, AI, but we know how this lot feel about that!!!There are no major Christian, Jewish or Muslim peace/human rights movements anywhere in the world. There are religious charities and there are secular political movements.
The idea of human rights, BTW, emerged from the French Revolution 1789 and was fiercly opposed and denounced by the Catholic Church at the time.
