Not to mention that Jesus’ words in the Koran are also in Arabic and written some 600 years after he lived. If i wanted to i could argue that this is a bit of Arabisation sneaking into christianity and that Mohammad invented Islam because None of the religious figures of his quran spoke the language he spoke.

Hence so again this argument falls down due to this double standard Planteen. That is unless you think all the Jewish prophets mentioned in the Koran and Jesus all spoke the Qurashi Arabic of the Koran. But knowing you, you probably do lol:D

Deus, please answer my question, give us ***examples ***on how San’a manuscript was altered…

There is a hell of a difference in the teachings of Jesus and the words of Paul.
What are the teachings of Jesus? You have said in the past that the Bible had been corrupted by the introduction of ideas such as the Trinity and those of that dastardly Paul of Tarsus. If that is so, then we would have to throw out derivative ideas such as the Real Presence, eating his flesh and drinking his blood, Jesus being manna from heaven, etc. In fact, we would have to throw out so much that there would be hardly anything left of the Gospel.

You have also said in prior posts that Jesus taught “many” good things [presumably that is what prophets do]. If that is true, and the Qur’an is to correct the “corruptions” of prior revelations, where in the Qur’an are the “good teachings” of Jesus such as the Lord’s Prayer and the Sermon on the Mount? If those are “corruptions” also, what do Muslims consider the “good teachings” of Jesus?

That Jesus had been able to speak from his cradle addressing people to worship Allah…😃 Seems that Muhammad were thinking that Jewish people were idolators or polytheist! What a line of thinking!

Some posters here have asked Muslims what parts of the Bible have been “corrupted”, as I have, but since that approach has produced no meaningful responses from them, I am trying a different tack, pursuant to planten’s claim that “not all the Bible is corrupt”, by asking them what Biblical teachings of Jesus does the Qur’an agree with. Alternately, if there are none, then just what are Jesus’ teachings according to the Qur’an? It appears that this has failed also as there has been no response from any of them, least of all from planten to whom I addressed the question last.

Muslims claim that the bible was a previous revelation which got corrupted so this is why there are similarities. but this argument is unsubstantiated and is nothing more that Islamic retrospective mythmaking used to hide Islam’s blatant plagiarism under the guise of Islamic pre-existence.
but mind you, they claim but not a single Muslim, not even among the most learned can tell when, where, which country, which church, which community corrupted the Bible, among all the churches that the disciples founded; as a result, they bury their head in the sand and shout, thinking that others will say “we hear and we obey” and buy a claim that history, archeology, geography and common sense refute but Muhammad, who didn’t even get one correct Christian doctrine, must know better

yea Jesus speaking in the cradle was supposed to be a “miracle” to prove “another miracle” which is the miraculous birth which Muslims think happened for no purpose at all, it’s just that Allah felt like it it seems so ask a Muslim why was Jesus born without a biological father and they’ll reply “it’s a miracle” and when you ask them to think a bit deep and ask why the need of such a miracle seen and witnessed by no one, you get deafening silence.

From an Islamic perspective, just what was it about Jesus that set him apart from other “prophets” that warranted a virgin birth? I asked this question some time ago and got no response.

However, when there is a Muslim response to a statement about questionable Islam belief/practice, the response seems to fall into this pattern:
  1. State that the Christian is wrong, using as proof some Islamic belief;
  2. Claim there is something similar in Christian scriptures; thus,
  3. Attempt to shift the discussion to Christianity;
  4. Restate the original Islamic belief.

Islam did not only plagiarize Christian Origins, but also plagiarize** mistakenly**.

In the Prohibition chapter (Surat At-Tahrim) 12:" And Maryam (Mary), the daughter of
'Imran who guarded her chastity
"
And in Mary chapter (Surat Maryam) 27, 28:“Then she brought him to her people,
carrying him. They said: O sister of Hârûn, Your father was not a man who used to
commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman.

So the quran said that Maryam (Mary) the mother of the Christ, was the daughter of
Imran and the sister of Hârûn

The Holy Bible is telling that Mary was the daughter of Yoakum.
Muhammad confused with Maryam the prophetess, the sister of Hârûn that was
mentioned in Exodus 15:20 with Maryam (Mary) the mother of the Christ.

The Holy Bible said in 1Chronicles 6:3:“the children of Amram: Hârûn, and Moses, and Maryam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar” so Maryam was the daughter of Amram according to the history and the Holy Bible.

So he changed the name Amram to 'Imran and considered Virgin Mary to be Maryam the
sister of Hârûn and Moses and the daughter of 'Imran, although she was not the same
person.

How could Mary the mother of the Christ be the daughter of 'Imran and the sister of
Hârûn and Moses and there are 1500 years between Virgin Mary and the time of Hârûn.

Does God mistake in history???

Above is about Virgin Mary. Now about Pharaoh and His Minister Haman.

The Narration chapter (Surat Al-Qasas) 8, 38:" Then the household of Pharaoh picked
him up, that he might become for them an enemy and a cause of grief. Verily! Pharaoh,
Hâmân and their hosts were sinners, Pharaoh said:"O chiefs! I know not that you have a
god other than me, so kindle for me a fire, O Hâmân, bake clay, and set up for me a
palace in order that I may look at God of Moses "

So according to the quran Hâmân was the Minister of Pharaoh.

While the Holy Bible is telling that Hâmân was the Minister of King Ahasuerus the king of
Persians on 486 B.C (book of Ester), the name Hâmân was the name of Persian god
Pharaoh of Egypt lived on 1490 B.C ,so there was a thousand year time difference
between them, and Hâmân could never be a name at the time of Pharaoh as the
Egyptians were not using names of Persian gods but their own gods ,as using that name
is impossible being against their worshiping.

So Pharaoh of Egypt could never had a minister named Hâmân and the name was taken
from a man lived a thousand year later!

Now about Moses and The Samaritan.

It was mentioned in the quran that the Samaritan was the one who made the golden
statue of calf for the people of Israel in the desert at the time of Moses
In Ta-Ha chapter (Surat Ta-Ha) 85– 88:" and the Samaritan has led them astray… He said:
"O my people! Did not your Lord promise you a fair promise? Did then the promise seem
to you long in coming? Or did you desire that wrath should descend from your Lord on
you, so you broke your promise to me They said: “We broke not the promise to you, of
our own will, but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the people, then
we cast them into the fire, and that was what the Samaritan suggested.” Then he took out
of the fire for them a statue of a calf which seemed to low. They said: "This is your god
and the god of Moses"

The Samaritan (the one who lived in the city of Samara) was not known at the time of
Moses as the city of Samara was not existing at the time of Moses, as the history is
telling us that it was built on 880 B.C, while Moses lived on 1500B.C, so there is seven
centuries difference between the two, and no one was called the Samaritan at the time of
Moses!

It is certainly not from God, the book that contains historical errors …

i’ve been asking it for years 🙂

You are idiotic. You said that Greek had nothing to do with Israel during the time of Jesus which is absolutely false. As I have already said Greek had been introduced some 300 years before Jesus to the region and it was the main trading language of the roman empire of whom Israel was a dominion…
Right! Even the “Great King Kaisar of Rome” spoke Greek when he attacked the “defenseless Muslims of Maddinah”.

**. You are wrong in bringing Greek into it. Please tell me why did Jesus cry out on the cross in the words:

“Eli, Eli, lama sabaqatani?**” O My Lord, O my Lord, why have you forsaken me?

Was that greek?? You do not know what you are talking about. The case of Greekising the christianity is very clear. There is a hell of a difference in the teachings of Jesus and the words of Paul.
Planten,

Why must you be so hard headed? Did anyone claim that Jesus went about speaking Greek all the time? No. Learned men of the time could READ Greek as the septuagint was the Greek translation of the Torah in use at that time. Jesus most probably spoke Aramaic (as above). Paul taught what Jesus taught.

planten, you are trying very hard to avoid the issue of what Mohammed claims are the teachings of Jesus.

Because if they don’t hold on to the idea that Muhammad had told them that the Bible was corrupted, Muhammad didn’t have any reason at all to establish or invent a new religion. It is just Muhammad wanted to get fame, power and glory to himself for good he had to establish new religion, other wise just political power wouldn’t exalt him the way he wanted to be exalted in history for all generation all over the world to remember!!

Muslims do not believe in the original message of God they prefer to fight instead of preaching the word. they have little or no time to confront those that needed explaination. they feel your question slight the name of mohammed and so such matters be discontinued.
how do i learn from a people that do not want me to know God or Allah in his trueness when i start to find out about the real faith. This is the case in Nigeria where a little attempt to know more about islam is considered as affront on the religion.
