Israel 'ready for escalation' of Gaza conflict

Second day of peace and quiet. :signofcross: I only see two options with the border and demilitarized thinking though. Hope someone is willing to compromise because neither option is what Hamas seeks.

Hamas can and will grow I believe. The MB has deep pockets with key figureheads globally.

The extremists are re-building and I fear we will see a larger group of warriors with a new plan of destruction.

I am far from a pessimist, I am a realist… I look for the good in all of God’s creation but can’t see any good in Hamas…

I think also, even if they didn’t have control in Palestine their influence will still exist.

I agree totally, if there was any doubt surely that would have been erased with Hamdan on the Hamas doctrine in pubic. As witnessed by the public it just can’t stand critical analysis… If thats Islam and Islam is a religion of peace, then Hamas reserves the right to lob missiles at anyone who disagrees.

As Netanyahu stated; “If the Arabs put down their weapons there will be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons, there would be no more Israel”

Obama states he has no sympathy for Hamas and Gaza will not be used as a launching pad for rockets into Israel or attack tunnels. .

Hamas not willing to extend ceasefire, everyone else is. 🤷

And why is it Obama couldn’t state his lack of sympathy for Hamas and denounce the rockets and dozens of terrorist tunnels? Unacceptable IMO. This well financed terror “Hamas” organization deserves to be destroyed. If the Bill Ayers Weather Underground would get out of the White House, America could regain trust in the world. The people living in Gaza haven’t tried to accomplish a better way of life. They have supported hatred and those who would murder every Jewish person they could get their hands on and if their own children get in the way - too bad! The money they spent on building the terror tunnels had to be significant and they can claim they didn’t know they were there till the cows come home. That can be believed just like the claim that they are peaceful. A white flag may have been flown over the Brooklyn Bridge but you can still buy it if you like.
America has had enough of terrorists and those who support them ala Jimmy Carter! :mad

This has to be one of the most bigoted tirades I have ever seen posted here. Considering that the overwhelming majority of Palestinian casualties are civilians, with a significant number of them children who could not possibly have voted for Hamas, makes these comments reprehensible.

By the way, voting is not a war crime as far as i know. Deliberately targeting civilian areas where you know for certain that you will kill a large number of innocent people is.

Israel could end the Hamas rocket fire tomorrow if it really wanted. Just lift the economic embargo on Gaza and give its residents a hope for a better life. Most Palestinians, given the choice, would reject the strict Islamicism of groups like Hamas. But Israel’s goal is not stopping the Hamas rockets. It’s gola is keeping the Palestinians weak and divided and thus unable to establish a viable state of their own.

My own opinion of course, but I think after our own history here in American, Obama addressed the issue in better perspective today. Earlier he helped create public outcry for Hamas. Hamas, the rockets and tunnels, all wicked evil. And we have no room to talk about Israel, none. Fact is I give them credit for their restraint and minimal loss of life in the process, we may not have had that kind of restraint. And by the way, the pubic here in the USA just as easily condemns us as they do Israel when violence escalates for our military. That said I thought today he was level.

Hope Hamas decides on Peace. The civilians lives are obviously still in their hands as human shields as I see it.

He even made a comparison between the Gaza under Hamas and Nazi Germany *

The distinction between Hamas and Gaza residents is nonexistent, Eiland argued. And because it tried to distinguish the two, Israel has sabotaged itself by fighting an enemy while providing them with humanitarian necessities.

Instead, Eiland suggested cutting Gaza off completely, writing: “The moment it begins, the right thing to do is to shut down the crossings, prevent the entry of any goods, including food, and definitely prevent the supply of gas and electricity.”

There is no difference, morally, between what this retired general said and what a Hamas terrorist would say. Hamas has used the exact same rationalization when it used to kill Israeli civilians in suicide attacks.

Hamas states openly they want the destruction of Israel. Israel would love to see “Palestine” disappear off the map, too—they just don’t say so.

And then set out with rockets, tunnels and human shields, suicide bombers, along with verbal confirmation to do exactly this and this month. And further teach this doctrine to children.

So this is pure speculation and conspiracy theory, not reality today. Iran wants Israel and the US wiped off the face of the earth and stated it and acted on it. What should Israel do? Wait till the talk becomes reality, which it did, and do nothing? Yea I guess thats status quo, thats what we are doing for the persecuted Christians…Nothing! But I hear the cries here daily about “why isn’t somebody doing something”.

How should that something be done? We should persecute anyone doing anything, label them with a radical name, appeal for public humanitarian outcry, because the murders in Gods name are being suppressed? The ones that you prayed for something to be done? How did you think this something was going to be done? Did you think they would use rubber bullets and throw flowers at the murders and offer them amnesty and a firm warning not to do it anymore?

Do you realize how backwards this thinking is? Its about what one might hear from Hamas.

We should all assume what Israel will do, while in fact radical Islam is doing exactly as you suggest. And killing Christians worldwide.

Had Israel wanted to slaughter Gaza? They would have disappeared right off the map this month. Just like the Christians did in Iraq. And there is nothing, nothing anyone would have done. Just like no-one did anything for the Christians.

Peace and freedom do not come easy, and in a nutshell Hamas wants Israel dead. Israel chose to live this month, sorry people died in the process. Hamas didn’t even want to stop to bury those they lie about that they care so much about.

They don’t care about Israel, they don’t care about their own civilians, they boldly only care about killing in Gods name. Thats what they care about.

***************************************************************************************************My post meant to be supportive of Israel - Not Hamas! Obama was too late and a dollar short with his denouncing the rockets and tunnels and he was not supportive or respectful of Israel previously. Israel is not targeting the children of Gaza; their mothers are not protecting them!
Hamas is a terror organization and the people do not want to resist IMO.

So you are suggesting the Israelis not warn the civilians in a house that is targeted? Make the body count a little higher won’t it.
 
Yea, but not quite like the RAF, or USAAF in WWII? Now that was significant body counts.
 
You think! But such is the nature of modern butchery. Take Bomber Harris comment during an interview about the morality of the bombing raids on Germany’s civilian population, his retort was, “Tell me what is moral about sticking a bayonet into a man’s belly?” Think it was some big wig Roman, forget who that said roughly translated, “During war all laws are silent.”

Nothing new under the sun.
 
We’ll see if the prisoners opt to fire rockets from their imprisonment tonight. Personally I think too many died already. 900 militants Israel reported, course Hamas doesn’t give those numbers, they are all civilians to them, and Israel is on the endangered species list with good Christians and Muslims.

Obama-no sympathy for Hamas[twice mentioned]. What do you think, too strong or not strong enough?

Hamas is already threatening peace could be shattered. The whole world shall see the continued blood of the innocent.
 
Hamas holds a parade to celebrate the end of another cease fire bearing very young children on shoulders of terrorists! What “brave heroes” they are! Great examples of what kind of people are Gaza “locals”. In the distance you can hear them chanting “End the blockade” and “Send more rockets!” :nope:
