They are harassing him to do things it is painful for him to do. Badgering their sick nephew/grandson. He says it hurts to eat and the aunt says to eat anyway. And did you read about the fact he has an abscess from his uncle hitting him?

When a normally calm guy is being driven to destroying a chair there is something going on.
If you don’t eat you’ll die.

If his uncle was beating on him…Why would he take his anger out on his grandmother:confused:

If he hit his abusive uncle I wouldn’t have a problem with that.

His uncle is a man…OP is a man…They can duke it out like men.

A man shouldn’t hit a woman regardless.

So it’s okay for his uncle to beat him because he destroyed 1 chair and threw 1 punch, but it’s not okay for him to destroy 1 chair and throw 1 punch because he is being emotionally abused.
To defend your family members from attack is wrong? Yes, that is what a man is supposed to do.

What about to defend yourself from attack?

No, it’s not the best response, but it’s not the horrible crime everyone is trying to make it out to be.

Dear Johto,
A family that yells at each other every day has a big problem. It seems like no one is being treated with respect. Do you have access to family counseling? It seems like that would help your whole family.
People will be happier if they speak kindly and calmly to one another, even when they are upset. If relatives are yelling at you because they want you to eat, it’s because they care about you, but they don’t know how to express their love correctlly.
Please go to a family counselor or a priest, and see if your family will go with you.

Also, if people are yelling at you, it’s much better to leave the room than to react in anger.
