I've never heard a good answer from non-Catholic Christians re: Matt. 18:15-17

What Church do we take it to? A Southern Baptist church? A Lutheran church? An Episcopal church? Methodist church, etc., etc., etc…? Don’t we take it to the Church Jesus Christ established where Doctrines matter and do not conflict with other doctrines? Here is a scenario I’ve seen before and couldn’t be answered. Maybe someone can help me with this:
I have a friend who is teaching false doctrine about Baptism to my children. As a good father and (hopefully!) a good Christian, I want my children to have the truth. In order to follow Jesus, I should do what He said to do about this situation. He said:
“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won over your brother. If he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, so that every fact may be established on the testimony of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell the church. If he refuses to listen even to the church, then treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.” Matt. 18:15-17
So, as Jesus said, I go to him alone, but he will not listen. I then take along a couple of friends and go to him again. He still will not listen. So, as Jesus said, I am to take it to the church.
Here is my question: Which church do I take it to? Some teach Baptism is for everyone; some say it is not for infants. Some teach that Baptism is regenerative; others say it is merely symbolic. Some teach Baptism is not necessary at all. They all claim to be guided by the Holy Spirit.
Please do not tell me to take my problem to the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to guide me. That’s not what Jesus said to do. He didn’t say, “Go to the Bible to find out what it says about your problem” and He didn’t say, “Go to the Bible to find out which church is the right one.”
If I am going to follow Him, I need to do what He said. He said, “Take it to the church.”
Which church?
 
looks plain & simple to me. Your only issue here is which church. Obviously you wont take any other answer besides the Catholic Church. Right?

what is the false doctrine about baptism that is being taught?
 
That would be the Church that Christ established, not a man made “Church.” So if that is the case, you would need a Church that can trace it’s origins back to Christ and his followers right? Of course! The only Church that can back up it’s claim as the Church that Christ established is the Catholic Church… the entire Catholic Church. That being said, that would also include the Eastern Catholic Church too.
 
It sounds to me that you are taking this passage and focusing on the word “church” as only a building. I think when Jesus spoke about “church” he was refering to the, Community of His Believers, and not a specific building. Chapter 18 as a whole focuses more on Reconciliation than anything else.

every church is man made, even the catholic church. there is just zero evidence that any of them has a divine connection.

This thread is not really about an explanation for that verse. But a discussion on ‘Which is the true Church’. Please, that topic had been beaten to death a million times over.
 
So are you saying I take it to the church I belong to?
of course! if you are catholic then why on earth would you go to a baptist congregation? for an Eastern Orthodox why the hell would he go to a Roman congregation. for a baptist, there is no reason to go to a catholic congregation.

Sorry - relativistic attitudes toward truth only make them opinion.

To find the truth seek out the wisdom of the ages. What has been taught throughout Christian history on issues such as Baptism? The answer is with the theologians from the beginning, especially those who were taught by the Apostles who themselves were taught by Christ.

exactly. every religion out there is nothing but opinion. whether its catholicism, islam, buddhism, protestantism, whatever.

the only explanation to that verse can only be relativistic. you go to whatever congregation you belong to.

yeah like the wisdom of the ages which says that the earth is flat. 😃
