I own a copy but thanks.I’d also like to inform you that you’ve just read part of the Douay-Rheims translation of the Bible.
I’m sure you’ll want to go wash your eyes or perform some Southern Baptist purification ritual or something.
A sad fact which Pope Benedict is trying hard to rectify. There is perhaps no other idea, besides the Trinity, that is more attested to among the Early Church Fathers than the Real Presence. Its a surprsingly high number of Catholics that dont
You seem to have missed to whole point of the scripture I quoted. Only Christ can heal that sort of blindness.Mine’s just fine thanks!
You sir are just a rude man, I hope you realize that your supposed to be respectful, pray for me, but I will pray for you more, you are just flat out disrepsectful, I would say more, but I would like to stay here, even with you.I’m sure you’ll want to go wash your eyes or perform some Southern Baptist purification ritual or something.
I saw clearly enough to see there was no point. Its funny, you like to hit with drive-by snips, but when it comes back at you, you all dont handle it to well. Worry for your own soul, how about that? You seem to have missed to whole point of the scripture I quoted. Only Christ can heal that sort of blindness.
I meant no disrespect. You sir are just a rude man, I hope you realize that your supposed to be respectful, pray for me, but I will pray for you more, you are just flat out disrepsectful, I would say more, but I would like to stay here, even with you.
It’s charitable to worry for the souls of others. Love God above all things and your neighbor as yourself.I saw clearly enough to see there was no point. Its funny, you like to hit with drive-by snips, but when it comes back at you, you all dont handle it to well. Worry for your own soul, how about that?
A topic like this is always likely to stir up some heated debate. I agree that we must all try our very best to keep things civil…You sir are just a rude man, I hope you realize that your supposed to be respectful, pray for me, but I will pray for you more, you are just flat out disrepsectful, I would say more, but I would like to stay here, even with you.
Funny thing is he assume much, not knowing I won and have studied the Rhiems translation. its sad really…if one day it turns out that its true about the RCC being the only true church, I guess they will have much to answer for, as to how their arrogance drove so many away…You sir are just a rude man, I hope you realize that your supposed to be respectful, pray for me, but I will pray for you more, you are just flat out disrepsectful, I would say more, but I would like to stay here, even with you.
did you even read what panoikei wrote? do you even know who St. Ignatius of Antioch was? he was born around 50 AD. are you saying YOU know more about what Jesus taught than he did???Praise God! I am so happy for you! PM me anytime you wish. Now, without the weight of the externals, you are free to really know Christ.
As some are…but there are always those few embarassments…A topic like this is always likely to stir up some heated debate. I agree that we must all try our very best to keep things civil…
There shouldn’t be any winning, or losing, or gloating by anyone when it comes to our salvation. Everything we do should be for the greater glory of God.Funny thing is he assume much, not knowing I won and have studied the Rhiems translation. its sad really…if one day it turns out that its true about the RCC being the only true church, I guess they will have much to answer for, as to how their arrogance drove so many away…
Nah…
I’m not arrogant in real life. I just write that way.Funny thing is he assume much, not knowing I won and have studied the Rhiems translation. its sad really…if one day it turns out that its true about the RCC being the only true church, I guess they will have much to answer for, as to how their arrogance drove so many away…

So you want to go on walk-about. Okay, I did that too. It was a long and weird journey, including 11 years as a Mormon! But eventually I came back to the Catholic Church, with a deep understanding that I probably would not have had if I had not gone on walk-about. My long and circuitous journey made me the Catholic I am today. I would not trade it for anything. So, I just, in great detail, explained to my wife why I no longer consider myself a RC and why I have left the Church. She totally understood and supports my decision.
I feel great, like the chains of bondage have been removed. The RCC is a fine institution and if some people can find God within that particular Church, then it is a very good thing.
The Church was holding me back, for years, this is an exciting time. I no longer have the distraction of the all the Catholic requirements that are necessary for any hope of my salvation. Those distractions also prevented me from forming any relationship with God.
When someone asks, ’ are you a Catholic’, I will respond, nope I am a Christian!![]()
nor do I care what he wrote. Prayer warrior huh? I doubt He can hear you…that ego is pretty thick to try to launch prayers throughdid you even read what panoikei wrote? do you even know who St. Ignatius of Antioch was? he was born around 50 AD. are you saying YOU know more about what Jesus taught than he did???
Chapter 7. Let us stand aloof from such heretics
They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again. Those, therefore, who speak against this gift of God, incur death in the midst of their disputes. But it were better for them to treat it with respect, that they also might rise again. It is fitting, therefore, that you should keep aloof from such persons, and not to speak of them either in private or in public, but to give heed to the prophets, and above all, to the Gospel, in which the passion [of Christ] has been revealed to us, and the resurrection has been fully proved. But avoid all divisions, as the beginning of evils.
Chapter 8. Let nothing be done without the bishop
See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. It is not lawful without the bishop either to baptize or to celebrate a love-feast; but whatsoever he shall approve of, that is also pleasing to God, so that everything that is done may be secure and valid.
not won…own…typo…didnt catch itThere shouldn’t be any winning, or losing, or gloating by anyone when it comes to our salvation. Everything we do should be for the greater glory of God.
Again… let’s maintain some civility, people…
Perhaps…I’m not arrogant in real life. I just write that way.
The behavior of people on an internet forum probably counts as the worst way to judge the value of a religion.
Why cant they all be as civil as you?So you want to go on walk-about. Okay, I did that too. It was a long and weird journey, including 11 years as a Mormon! God bless you and good luck in your spiritual travels. Learn the scriptures and learn church history. God will teach you what is right.
