Like promoting sth to sign…
What if we bring here people to sign against ? It is persons thrown under the bus after all here…

Ora et labora. We need to pray, fast and make our voices heard that he is not worthy to be Archbishop of Philadelphia.

It’s one of a series of images.
…, but you have to read LifeSite to know that. Any underlying message of any kind other than a contemporary view of the gospel story is extremely difficult to see in that painting.

And throw the first stone… because sb says so and has already decided over what is gossip again?
Well… what can one say?

I edited my post to state that I signed it. Imo, to not let people know about this is like shutting off the water when the fire company is trying to put out a fire.

How constructive! 🥴 Join the appalled crowd
Better Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy family time!

That’s only on the artist, whether James Martin wanted to implicate something or not is not definite.

Gossip may or may not be true. What Fr. James Martin S.J. posted is part of the public record. That is not gossip AFAIK.

I don t understand this sort of petitions, may be cultural or sub cultural or whatever. Nothing has been confirmed about this replacement.
But again, celebrate this day in peace. I know it is important for you all.

Really? How do you suppose he came by the image and is unaware of its source, or the other images contained in the book? It took me all of five minutes to run it down. Am I that much smarter than Martin?

And @ Jack63:
Did you even read the publicity release from Amazon I posted above, or the same text in the Google Books promo? What on Earth does LifeSite have to do with those?

How can anyone defend this egregiously blasphemous book, or Martin’s use of any image from it?

I’m turning in for the night. It’s past 12:30 and I have to get some sleep.

Blessed rest to you. Keep up the fight, sister. The Church needs you!
