On another website I frequent (where the majority are of strong-left-wing inclination) the focus seems to be on this speech is somehow related to the ‘Religious Right’ wanting control over everyone, how we are all “sheeple,” not to mention how we use the term “Christianity” to justify things that cannot be changed…
Jeb’s speech seems pretty reasonable to me, it is true that some of what Obama has done is not in the best interest of the faithful, or those fighting for better morality in our society today…
But as other’s have said, just because you show up at Church doesn’t make you anything. Even being Baptised doesn’t make you Christian, unless you TRULY live out your faith!
That applies not only to Obama, but other politicians who show up and pretend to be “good and proper XYZ Christians,” but actually have no care for what the Church thinks, nor what Jesus might have taught.
