Did you not read what I said.
If our tuxedo cat ever actually caught up with one of the birds she occasionally chases in the yard, I’m afraid she’d be more likely to try to snuggle it than eat it . . .And he’s probably a huge lover.![]()
The siamese mix that adopted used to work the potatoes out of the bag on the floor during the night and do battle; we’d find them all over the floorMy dog goes in the pantry…to growl at the potatoes.![]()
we had a rescue cat like that. He dashed in from the next room at the center and leaped in my lap. He never went in a lap again, ever. He spent a couple of weeks hiding under beds, barely coming out to eat; he had clearly been abused. He would come and sit next to me, though, after a while. And he came at a run if he saw someone pick up his hairbrush. But he near did recoverHe’s actually smart. He takes a tricyclic antidepressant for anxiety (he’s from a shelter and we believe he was abused) and sometimes he gets confused. St Francis, bless him.![]()
My dane is a shelter pup with anxiety too. Hates thunderstorms the most! Gotta love drugs!

Luke 14 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple."Unless you eat my body and drink my blood …
However, is its intended sense the literal sense? You are going to find that many Christians do not take some passages of the Bible literally.in its intended sense.
I agree as i do not myself in this case, especially as @MonteRCMS says Jesus did not speak english. You are going to find that many Christians do not take some passages of the Bible literally.
Jesus may not have spoken English while on this earth. But being God, He knew every language in existence at the time and every language that would ever be in existence. And I guarantee you that He can speak every language.AlNg:![]()

No, for the same reason that Lutherans do not worship Mr. Luther (Or that the Isrealites do not worship Jacob Israel)…why do they call themselves Christian? Wouldn’t that make them guilty of worshipping just a mere man by that logic?
