I really have no idea how accurate this video is. After some debates with some JW coworkers I thought I would show them this to analyze it. Any thoughts?

Ok thank you.I’m not sure about the last 30 seconds of the video about Jesus never returning to the Earth, but the rest of the video is definitely in line with their beliefs.
I could hear it for 15 seconds no more…sorry…I really have no idea how accurate this video is. After some debates with some JW coworkers I thought I would show them this to analyze it. Any thoughts?

I thought I was watching a “He-Man” cartoon. Could this be any more cheesey? The art seems to be in line with what one finds in the Watchtower magazine but I am still suspect as to whether or not the JW’s put this out.I could hear it for 15 seconds no more…sorry…
Seems strange to rewrite the Bible. I wonder under what authority they did that?I saw a Jehovah’s Witness bible this past summer. The video seems to be in line with their beliefs.
They rewrote their own Bible to suit their own beliefs.
Inside you can find the word “Watchtower”.
Their “New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures” (NWT) is a translation of the Bible published by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society in 1961; it is used and distributed by Jehovah’s Witnesses.
They also had questions and answers in the back in which they define the Catholic Mass as being evil.
Their leaders quit predicting the date of the end of the World when they were wrong so many times.
They reject the Trinity, inherent immortality of the soul, and hellfire, which they consider to be unscriptural doctrines (as their Bible has been re-written).
The Watchtower’s so their “bible” would conform to their beliefs.Seems strange to rewrite the Bible. I wonder under what authority they did that?

They told me they would rather share the faith with me through a Bible study group. I couldn’t get a straight answer about the video.I believe this to be accurate.
What did the JW co workers have to say.
Some of the info comes from what they call enlightenment., Other info comes from the Greek “scholars” studying the Greek words. Something about the Greek word for stake vs the word for cross.Hard to find a point one can agree on with JEWs. I have one who is trying to convert me. Whatever. She brought up the celebration of birthdays and Christmas is pagan. So I was thinking the next time she brings it up, I plan on asking her what she thinks of the visit to Christ by the three kings. They gave Him gifts and He accepted them. Didn’t seem to cause a problem. Also JEWs did celebrate both individual birthdays and Christmas up to sometime in the 1940s.
Another thing she brought up was that the cross is a pagan symbol dating back to some religion in the Near East. In this video, it shows a vertical bar. Yet, archeology will verify that the cross was commonly used by the Romans. Where do they get their info?
First off they never face you one on one. They are always in pairs to gang up on you. They will tell you it is because Jesus sent out the apostles 2x2. Unless you are strong in your faith I wouldn’t study with them. If you are strong you can learn from them because you will disagree on all points and you will search out why you believe what you do.They told me they would rather share the faith with me through a Bible study group. I don’t plan on studying with them. I enjoy Bible studies at the Parish I go to. It has been interesting to listen to them, even though I disagree with the majority of what they say.First off they never face you one on one. They are always in pairs to gang up on you. I have learned a great deal from my JW friend because I do disagree with her and for that I am grateful. God put my JW friend into my life so I that I would be made to study why I beleive what I beleive and to be more able to defend His One and Only True Church the Catholic Church.I don’t plan on studying with them. That does help, thank you and God bless. It gets tiresome at work to get bombarded by them. They seem to especially have a real beef with the Catholic faith. They keep trying to pressure me into going to a bible study with them. They also keep telling me over and over that I shouldn’t belong to a church founded by a Roman Emperor. Any rebuttals I make seem to fall of deaf ears.I have found it is best if you do get into a discussion with a JW to listen to what they are arguing and try to find a context. If you can’t discern why the belief is illogical right away, read from YOUR Bible their citations and cross-referrence with the Catechism. Most of their beliefs can be caught rather quickly, such as why b-days aren’t celebrated because there are two referrences to b-days in the Bible where something bad happens; Christ being crucified on a post rather than a cross (just look at the word “crucified”, it means cross and besides, of course the Romans used a pagan symbol to execute, they were Pagans!). Hope that helps.
I would start with the Bible…ask them about the history of how the Bible came together. If they accept the Bible…then they also accept Constantine…since the Bible was not officially canonized till AD 382, after Constantine’s death. That does help, thank you and God bless. They told me all of their proof is in the Bible and that is why they feel I need to attend a study session with them to understand the truth. In regards to the Pope, they said he is nothing but a sham and leading over a billion people astray.I would start with the Bible…ask them about the history of how the Bible came together. Also, ask them to provide proof of what they are saying…JW sources and other sources that confirm what the JW is telling them.
Give them this declaration of Pope Damasus:

They will want to use their own Bible (Watchtower) first written in the mid 1800’s.They told me all of their proof is in the Bible and that is why they feel I need to attend a study session with them to understand the truth.
