My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I would like to humbly ask for your prayers for a number of Jehovah’s Witnesses who have been coming to my home now once a week for about 10 months. We have been engaged in ongoing discussions about our respective faiths. Tomorrow we discuss the Eucharist. Please pray that they would be given the grace to hear Christ’s truth, that their hearts will be open, and that I will speak only the words that Christ wishes to be spoken to them at this time.

The truth is like the sun, many thunder clouds could be in front of it making all sorts of noise, but the sun just sits there calmly shining always, at the end the clouds have to move away. The sun never goes down at night, or rises in the morning. He is always there up and shining, it is the earth that dances around the sun, causing day and night effects. The truth is like the sun, is always there shining, being, beaming. The truth will always prevail, for the Truth is Jesus Himself, “I am the way, the truth, and the life”.

The first thing to remember is not to accept their literature unless you absolutely must. Perhaps that is what keeps them coming back, though. Catholic Answers and your local Catholic bookstore both have books and pamphlets that help you defeat their shallow theology. Lord of Truth and Love, grant buc_fan33 an outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that hearts which have been lead astray may be illumined with Your Truth. Grant peace and strength so that the lost sheep may see the love and confidence that true faith in You produces. May even one tiny question arise in their hearts, so that light will enter and open their eyes. Grant Heavenly peace to all involved, that faith and love will shine when lighted by the Truth. Thank you all very much for your prayers. Our meeting went quite well today, and I think they are at least a little less sure that the Eucharist is blatant idolatry. An out-and-out conversion is not likely at this time, if for no other reason than it is very hard for a JW to leave becasue they are then shunned by all of their friends and family. The woman who comes regularly was almost holding back tears today as we talked. I’m not sure if she was crying because I was explaining something she wanted, or for me because I couldn’t see the truth in her eyes. In any event, I think this will be the last time I meet with them. I entrust them to Mary’s Immaculate Heart and I am sure that she will lead them to her Son.
