I think we are getting somewhere in that both religions believe that Jesus(as) does not have a biological.
the virgin birth is not something we do not agree upon and it is the duty of Christians to record this, 600 years before Muhammad. What we differ on is the “why”. In Islam you consider it a miracle, but what kind of a miracle is it that was neither seen nor proved by anyone, and which does not serve any purpose for humanity? one can understand healing the sick, calming the sea, raising from the dead, things people witnessed and things made for people to believe, but what is the purpose of the mircaculous birth in Islam?

**The Holy Quran : Chapter 5: Al-Ma’idah

[5:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

[5:2] O ye who believe! fulfil your compacts. Lawful are made to you quadrupeds of the class of cattle other than those which are being announced to you, except that you should not hold game to be lawful while you are in a state of pilgrimage; verily, Allah decrees what He wills.

[5:3] O ye who believe! profane not the Signs of Allah, nor the Sacred Month, nor the animals brought as an offering, nor the animals of sacrifice wearing collars, nor those repairing to the Sacred House, seeking grace from their Lord, and His pleasure. And when you put off the pilgrims’ garb and are clear of the Sacred Territory, you may hunt. And let not the enmity of a people, that they hindered you from the Sacred Mosque, incite you to transgress. And help one another in righteousness and piety; but help not one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allah; surely, Allah is severe in punishment.

[5:4] Forbidden to you is the flesh of an animal which dies of itself, and blood and the flesh of swine; and that on which is invoked the name of one other than Allah; and that which has been strangled; and that beaten to death; and that killed by a fall; and that which has been gored to death; and that of which a wild animal has eaten, except that which you have properly slaughtered; and that which has been slaughtered at an altar. And forbidden is also that you seek to know your lot by the divining arrows.
[5:5] They ask thee what is made lawful for them. Say, ‘All good things have been made lawful for you; and what you have taught the beasts and birds of prey to catch for you, training them for hunting and teaching them of what Allah has taught you. So eat of that which they catch for you, and pronounce thereon the name of Allah. And fear Allah. Surely, Allah is quick in reckoning.’

Paar, this is not proof of Jesus’ life.

Its an account some man made in 600 + AD. Definitely NOT an eyewtiness account.
Its not even accurate to the Bible which was already on hand.
It doesnt fulfill the prophecies as it should according to the OT and it doesnt conform to the teachings of the Church Jesus instituted. Both of which have a priesthood, and a sameness in synagogue/litury worshipping method.

I could write an account [on Jesus] as did the gnostics and claim i was given some incredible account from God.🤷

Would that be proof however; that that was how it occurred?🤷

Muhammad definitely made a mix of the OT and NT but it is due to his lack of knowledge of the scriptures and what they meant, that he corrupted them.

Neither Jew nor Christian would follow his ‘creation’ because it was so far altered from the history of the scriptures.

I neither follow Hanzel and Gretal, but obviously someone had an imagination that created the story.
Mythology is what Muhammad wrote - and we put his writings along with gnostic writings.

You know what gnostic is?
It means to give hidden truths [they claimed] possessing intellectual or esoteric knowledge of spiritual things
that are otherwise unprooven in scriptures or Tradition.

Muhammad knew he could create this and pass it off to the folks of Abraham - making them feel God didn’t over look them.

WHICH God didnt overlook them, hence He sent out His Apostles to teach the truth in the Church on every nation.

But Muhammad - as i said - couldnt convert the Jew nor Christian because his writings were terrible distortions.

There was always a line ranging from Moses til Jesus of the prophecies.
One line of thought that was fulfilled and one line of scriptures kept intact.

Muhammad comes out of nowhere without a prophecy - even tho he tries to borrow from the Jew and Christian their sciptures…

However; Paul warned against what Muhammad made claim to [that Gabriel gave him the teachings] AND HERE IS HOW…

Galatians 1:12
Therefore, Paul warns the Church in Galatia to beware of those who are trying to “Pervert” the Gospel that was revealed. He specifically warns the Church, that if an “Angel” from Heaven preach another Gospel[5]** let him be accursed**.

paarsurrey,

You can quote from the Quran all you want. Nothing, absolutely nothing changes the fact that it is a false prophecy/revelation. Jesus warned us of people like Muhammad. There are no similarities to the Jesus Muhammad wrote about and Jesus Christ.

If you think for one moment that any Catholic or Christian can be swayed by the lies of Islam, you are sorely mistaken. My prayer for you is that you find Jesus Christ and renounce your false prophet.

Please read Surah 3 The Family of Imran. It will tell you in detail about that which you do not know.

Jesus would not even know what a christian is. He practiced monotheism. Worship in Allah(god) and only God. How would our prophet even know where to being with the story of Isa(as)? The bible is not accurate as it is man’s account of another man’s life. Allah used Muhammad(saw) to inform the people of that which they do not know. If you watch the little reenactments of the life of Jesus played by many catholic channels, you will see that Jesus lived just as muslims live, i.e making wudu, offering the prayers. Jesus did say there would be a prophet after him from the decent of his brethren. How do you explain this?

Please read Surah 3 The Family of Imran. It will tell you in detail about that which you do not know.

This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Messenger.) by inspiration: **Thou wast not with them **when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: Nor wast thou with them when they disputed (the point).

Read this carefully. Allah is saying that this was revealed to Muhammad because he couldn’t know it by himself, since he was not there. Big mistake that God cannot commit. What Muhammad said in this verse was written before him in an apocryphal gospel, which means he does not need be there to know about it, since it was written before him, and all he needed do is simply hear about it. Big mistake that turns against Muhammad instead of showing that he was inspired.
  1. Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.
  2. “He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous.”
  3. She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?” He said: "Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, ‘Be,’ and it is!
The chapter you are refering to does not expose the reason why Jesus had to be born without a biological father. If it does, please give the verse number, though i prefer you use your own words to explain.

Jesus did say there would be a prophet after him from the decent of his brethren. How do you explain this?
you are mixing the OT with the NT. The prophet from among the Israelite (written in the OT) is identified as Jesus (in the NT) and Jesus said scriptures are about Him. Jesus said He will send prophets and teachers after Him. if Muhammad was sent by Jesus, let us know; if not, he is no prophet, according to Jesus.

I am sorry - show me where Jesus ever says Allah.
You see it written no where. Not in Greek, not in Aramaic [His own language] not in Hebrew, not anywhere in the entire Bible will you ever see Allah.

He called God - Abba. [which means Father in Aramaic]
The Hebrew called Him Yahweh, or Adonai.
The time He was on the cross He called out to… ‘Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani’

Eli is not Allah. Allah is your language, but it was not Christ’s.

Jesus is God, so yeah, He did practice Monotheism. But Being IN and of One God doesnt mean there are not three Persons in One God.

Just as man is made of two - male and female - doesnt mean humanity excludes the two properties…even tho there is but one animal called human.

👍 He said He came to fulfill them.

And indeed He fulfilled 300 prophecies.

Allah knows best and any error is that of my own. Allah is saying: You weren’t there but I will reveal to you that which happened?

About the coming of Jesus:
In short, Mary’s(as) mother was not able to have children. She prayed and prayed to Allah and finally she was able to concieve. She gave her child to Allah saying that her child will b a servant of Allah to serve him and spread the word of Allah, if it was a boy. Instead, Maryum or Mary (Maryum in arabic and arameic means female servant of Allah). By Allah’s will, Mary was able to have a son, Jesus(as) who would serve God. details of this is in surah 3 the family of Imran. Maybe you misread it.
This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Messenger.) by inspiration: **Thou wast not with them **

What you are arguing is language differences and my apologizes if I confused you. Jesus ,however, NEVER SAYS HE HIMSELF IS GOD. Yes man is made of two but not at the same time. One individual is either male or female. Allah(GOD) is above all of that, he is neither male nor female. Who did Jesus pray to himself?

No Muhammad(saw) was not sent by Jesus(as) as Jesus(as) does not have the power to send prophets. God sent Muhammad just as he sent Jesus, Moses, Noah, Enoch, etc. etc.
The prophet said in OT is said to be from the BRETHEN of the israelites i.e Ishmaelites, for Issac and Ishmael were brothers both coming from Ibrahim(Abraham).

Yes, He does! Numerous times.

Perhaps this will help you:
“Christ” is the New Testament word for the Messiah, the anointed ruler of God’s people as predicted in the Old Testament. “Son of God” refers to Jesus’ special relationship to the Father - a unique position no one else has - the only begotten Son (John 3:16). Did Jesus claim such positions?
Matthew 3:17 - At Jesus’ baptism, the Father spoke from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 16:13-18 - Peter confessed Jesus to be the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus said that the Father Himself had revealed this to Peter, but He rejected as inadequate the claims that He was just a prophet. [John 6:69]
Matthew 17:5 - At the Transfiguration the Father again spoke from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” This is why we should listen to Him.
John 4:25,26 - Jesus acknowledged to the Samaritan woman that He was the Messiah (Christ).
John 9:35-37 - He told a blind man He had healed that He was the Son of God.
Matthew 26:63-66 - During His trial in the presence of His enemies, Jesus acknowledged that He was the Christ, the Son of God.
In addition, He allowed various other disciples to make such claims for Him (John 11:27; Matt. 14:33; John 1:29,34,49).
Did any other true prophet ever make such claims? Did God ever give approval to any other man to make such claims? John the Baptist expressly denied such claims for himself (John 1:19-22; 3:28).
What kind of man would Jesus be to make and allow such claims, if they were not true? Yet He not only allowed others to make such claims for Him, He praised them for making them, He made them Himself, and the eyewitnesses say that God the Father audibly made such claims for Him.
[Cf. Matt. 8:29; 12:41,42; 22:41-46; John 12:13.] gospelway.com/god/jesus_claims.php
Declarations that Jesus is the Son of God:
By God the Father: Matthew 3:17 “and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”
John the Baptist said: John 1:34 “And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of God"
By Jesus Himself: Matthew 27:43 “He trusts in God; let Him deliver Him now, if He takes pleasure in Him; for He said, 'I am the Son of God." cf: John 10:36; 19:7
Peter’s confession: Matthew 16:16 “. . . “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God”
Thomas exclaimed: John 20:28 “Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
John, the Apostle: 1 John 4:14 “1 John 4:14 “And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world”
The Apostle Paul testified: Romans 1:4 “who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord”
Demons recognized His divinity: Luke 4:41 “And demons also were coming out of many, crying out and say ing, “You are the Son of God!” And rebuking them, He would not
allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ”

Unfortunately, Muslim women have no rewards in their Allah’s heaven.

Men seem to have all the virgins they want.

I wonder why some women here expect anything in return from their Allah by defending Islam.

Ah, could be because their men told them so?

I will not be surprised.

Women are slaves in Islam, an object of pleasure and desire, that’s all.

“They have no brains and no religion.”

These are Muhammad’s words, not mine.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem ,
Hello Chrisse. To my knowledge Muhammad(saw) never fornicated let alone with a “dead non muslim”
I also want to give you some advice in terms in dealing with hadiths. Just because a hadith is written in arabic does not mean it’s authentic. Hadiths are similar to that of the NT in that the companions of our beloved prophet(saw) expressed the saying and actions of the prophet(saw). The prophet(saw) warned us about fornicated hadiths and said if it goes against Qur’an then it is not from him. When trying to find information about islam, the internet is not the best resource as anyone can publish anything through these means. I hope that helps.
Muslimah727, I thought I gave you a hint in my reply. The person I receive the hadiths from originates far more closely to the epi-centre of islam than you, where was he trained as an islamic scholar. I’ll take his extremely intimate knowledge of your ideology over your more general every day kind.

Not only that, but many of the indigenous peoples of the lands occupied by the muslim hordes, well those that survived the bloody slaughter, were forced to learn and speak arabic, were punished if they spoke their indigenous language, were forced to learn the qur’an. Who am I speaking of here, Muslimah727. In particular the Copts. All those years of making non-muslims know they are subdued and humiliated have come back to bite mohammet on his butt (as they say).

It must be very difficult for a muslim. All these contradictions. And how about those abrogations? I think it’s approximately 60% of the qur’an has been abrogated. Can you tell me, how do you know if allah’s word (that is eternal and is with him for all time) has not had further revisions as allah felt like it? It must be difficult to have any certainty of that. Even if you claim that it says in the qur’an that it is final - well, it can also be shown from the qur’an that allah changes his mind.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Too bad they are not the real ones as mentioned in the Bible
The Jesus in the Quran is nothing but a product of Muslim imagination. Just as the Quran itself, as proven in my previous posts in this thread, is simply a story of make-believe.
