Hi

Have you ever wished to marry an ant? I don’t think it is a sensible thing to imagine or think of; a queer think. Cant you find a girl as your legitimate wife from your own species, who has the same feelings for you as you have?

Thanks
You understand metaphor, right? I am a woman with three children.

Hi

I am sorry; but we are just discussing things in search for truth. Some other male Catholic my reply.

Thanks

Hi

To me it is a mythical mystery;not a real one.

Thanks
Hi paarsurrey,

Can you please explain to me this comment?

Is there a difference between an imaginery mystery and a real mystery? How would one know a mystery is real when it is quite simply a mystery ??

Why Deity has to do with Father vs Mother, Male vs Female, Brother vs Sister. Father, Mother, Male, Female, Brother, Sister are terminology applied to human, not to God. You cannot apply human terminology to God. What do you think of the gender of God, tell me.
This got to do with the Quran where it teaches that the Trinity consists of a father, son and a mother. Muslims mind derives from what the Quran teaches them. Some are so ingrained in this teaching that nothing will make them understand what’s outside it. It’s quite sad but that’s how it is with some Muslims.

Very confusing situation…
Daughter of God and at the same time his Mother !!

Mary is Daughter of the Father and also the Mother of God and Jesus is the Older Brother for Christians and they are also Sons of God of the Son God…

Christians believe Mary is daughter of the Father, mother of the Son, and spouse of the Holy Spirit.

She is not God, and is not part of the trinity. She is the firstborn of the Church, and the Church represents all who are in covenant relationship with God.

Salam

I would like to ask my christian friends here to explain 100% God and 100% Man jesus belief as it is one of Major belief as far as I think.

coz what I see it is self contradictory:

100% Man contradicts with 100% God
and 100% God contradicts with 100% man.

How jesus was both? coz as far as i think christian believe he was both all the time not that sometimes just man and some times just God.

Hope to get sensible precise and clear answer

Regards,
Xiaahmad
Until one fully believes in God, the Almighty, the maker of Heaven and earth and trust in His Holy Spirit, one will not ever know how this can be. Heaven is not of this world or any other. Therein lies your first basic division of earthly/nonearthly.

**It is God. God can do anything He wants. There are things that are not within the realm of earthly understanding. This is one of them. **

If you believe that God created a soul in everyone of us, which is NOT human, then why is it a stretch to believe there is a part of God that IS human as well as divine?

In a way, it exsists in us. It is not visibly separate, yet we know it exsists within us. Not that we are God, but that there is a part of us that belongs to Him that is not human.

**Think of it in terms of what God is *capable *of, not what our reality is. **

… to become an ant yourself?
…PHILOSOPHY OF ANTHROPOMORPHISM

– Dr. Zakir Naik

…Many religions at some point believe, directly or indirectly, in the philosophy of anthropomorphism i.e. God becoming a human.

Their contention is that Almighty God is so pure and holy that He is unaware of the hardships, shortcomings and feelings of human beings.

In order to set the rules for human beings, He came down to earth as a human. This deceptive logic has fooled countless millions through the ages. Let us now analyze this argument and see if it stands to reason.

The Creator prepares the instruction manual:

Suppose I manufacture a video cassette recorder (VCR). Do I have to become a VCR to know what is good or what is bad for the VCR? What do I do?

I write an instruction manual: “In order to watch a video cassette, insert the cassette and press the play button. In order to stop, press the stop button. If you want to fast forward press the FF button. Do not drop it from a height or it will get damaged. Do not immerse it in water or it will get spoilt”.

I write an instruction manual that lists the various do’s and don’ts for the machine.

Holy Qur’an is the instruction manual for the human being:

Similarly, our Lord and Creator Allah (swt) need not take human form to know what is good or bad for the human being. He chooses to reveal the instruction manual.

The last and final instruction manual of the human beings is the Glorious Qur’an. The ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ for the human beings are mentioned in the Qur’an.

I don’t like that term spouse of the Holy Spirit. It seems to signify an unholy union and a natural explination for Jesus rather than a supernatural one for the incarnation. Got real problems there.

That’s your problem. It doesn’t signify that at all.

Then what are the doctrinal implications of that term?
Why would there be different doctrinal implications of Mary’s relationship to the Holy Spirit than exist for her relationship with the Father and Son?

I really cannot understand why anyone would make something sexual out of the relationship. The relationship is a type of something on earth we cannot fully grasp, it is not meant to be understood as a literal representation of sex.

If you have a problem with Mary as the Spouse of the Holy Spirit, why do you not have a problem with the Church as the Bride of Christ? Do you think we are going to have sex with Christ? The idea is absurd.

The problem is in your head.

There is a difference saying the Church is the bride of Christ. Spouse indicated a numptial arrangement which includes all aspects of marriage. And your answer didn’t answer the question as how this works doctrinally. Though your referred websites might. I’ll read them. And before you get all high and mighty you might want to understand that not all christians unequivocally agree with you. And my point is that the idea is absurd so why use a term which indicates that consept?

Not even close to why God came into the world as human. God did not become man to “see what it feels like”.

When did I assume all Christians agree? How can I answer a question about ‘how something works doctrinally’ when you have not explained what you mean?

Your contention that spouse is different than bride has no basis.

Your argument that the relationship of spouse is prohibited seems to be solely based on the idea that you think it implies that Mary had sex with the Holy Spirit.

Is there any other basis to your objection? If there is not a real, substantive objection to the relationship between Mary and the Holy Spirit as spouses that is based on anything other than your inability to see the sexual aspect as figurative, then the problem is in your head.

but being Hasband and Father is not in contradiction.

like 100% God and 100% man is as the examples I gave above.

it more like a man taller than 6 Feet but at same time shorter than 5.
You don’t believe God could become 100% man if it was part of his plan?

My contention is is not that the spouse and bride are different but that the Church and Mary are. Mary is a member of the church not the church entire. The church does not make up the body of Mary but of Jesus Christ. That was the contention. And yes I have a problem associating a marital relationship with one person to God because it does seem to imply sexual relationship by the language used. Now if its figurative than what does that imply? Only Mary is the spouse of the Holy Spirit? What about the Chruch? Or is then God a Polygamist? Or is she the spouse because she is part of the body? If so then how is that any differen’t than any one of us?

If God is the Holy Almighty Most High ,How come that God was in the bathroom several times…!!
