Muslims believe in Virgin birth of Jesus (PUBH) and Quran calls Mary(PUBH) the great woman. and Sign was given to her and her son.

****Anyways again topic is been diverted lets stick to jesus being
Fully GOD and Fully Man(which is Contradictory)
Explantion required about that as it is one of major belief christianity

Peace

Its a mystery but look at this way:

You being a man are fully a spirit. You are fully a physical being. You are not contradictory to yourself. Yet the spirit is not physical nor is the physical a spirit Can you explain sufficiently how it works? The technical details? I think not.

So if he was born of a virgin, then God can perform acts that are against the laws of nature, right?

who is talking about laws of nautre here?

I am talking about Contradiction
God Immortal Man is not
Godall knowing man is not
God is no depedent Man is depedent

If u are gona say that God is not all knowing, God is depedent and GOD can Die or get killed then thats a different story

The Second Person of the Trinity is fully God. The Second Person of the Trinity has an eternal divine nature. The Second Person of the Trinity also took on a second nature… a human nature and was born of a woman named Mary. Mary named the Person she gave birth to Jesus. Jesus is God … one person with two natures; a divine nature and a human nature. Both natures are 100% complete, such that there is nothing lacking in Jesus’s human and divine natures.

As an analogy: I am a complete person with a human nature. I am a complete human person with a male nature. I am a complete human male person who is also a father. All of these are complete. I am 100% human, 100% person, 100% male, and 100% father. This is not contradictory? Nor is it contradictory to say that The Second Person of the Trinity is One Person with a complete divine nature and a complete human nature. He is not half human and half divine. His human and divine natures are complete.

Yep Fully GOD has contradictory attributes with Fully Man
What you are trying to do is to force an if/then argument where there is not one. You are aslo misusing a both/and position.

Jesus is Fully God. Jesus is also Fully man. It is not an if he is God then he cannot be man. Also, if Jesus dies, both God and Man died. This is also incorrect

Just like the virgin birth, God saw the need to do something that is not in the normal, natural corse of events. God humbled Himself to be born. Why is this not possible? Is it because God does not have the Authority or power? Then, when the time came for Jesus to die, the flesh of Jesus did while the God nature, which is unchanging and cannot die, did not.

Just as a normal man has mortal flesh and an immortal soul, Jesus had mortal Flesh and an Immortal God nature.

You must ask yourself these questions. It is not about your ability to understand, just to see.

First, does man have mortal flesh and an immortal soul?

Second, does God have the authority to contradict the laws of Nature?

Finally, is it possible for God to do anything that he so chooses as long as it is not evil?

So the relationship of God to Man in one way direction. God can become man and man cannot become God. It is no contradiction. You are merely showing two different facts, not the relationship between those two.

… God can become man and man cannot become God. …
…so God became man so that man could be saved from a human nature that leads to death.

Because man could not become God…

Meditate on that and you understand Christianity.

Correct brother, That is why I am a Christian.

Have the posters here ever considered the following scripture in trying to answer the OP’s qustion?

Matthew 11:

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Luke 10:

22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Hi

I think Catholics believe that Jesus was fully (100% man), and to err is human, so in principle they agree that Jesus must make mistakes. It is for Catholics, in my opinion, to cite instances when Jesus made mistakes to prove that Jesus was fully (100% man); if he was not god that is another matter .

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

And I agree.

I wonder why the Muslims cannot or will not give us a stright answer on this.

God controlls nature. IF he decides to do something against the normal rules, it is called a miracle.
I understand his point. What he is saying is that the Incarnation is inherently contradictory. It is not a case of “suspending the laws of nature”. Suspending the laws of nature does not enable you (or anyone) to do something that is inherently contradictory. For example, can God create something that is both black and white at the same time? I think that is something that is inherently illogical, and hence impossible, even by God. God may be able to make something that alternates between black and white every minute; but He cannot make something that is simultaneously black and white—unless you are going to redefine the meaning of white and black. That is the point that he is trying to make; and his point is a valid one.

I do see what you are saying, but it still does not deal with the fact that God is not defined by Creation, but creation is defined by God. Your example has a major flaw: what are black and white? They are perceptions created by the work of light and the brain of the obeserver. If no one is looking, there is no black or white.

The Incarnation does fly in the face of the laws of creation. that does not mean that God could not become man. God is not bound by nature.

You do realize that his position also negates all Mormon thought as well, don’t you?

You’re talking about an intrinsic impossibility. Impossible with in itself like God making a rock bigger than he can lift. However, what is his evidence that God becoming incarnate is an intrinsic impossibility? That must first be proved. As it stands we take the words of Jesus himself from the gospels and say it must be so. Whether or not we understand it. Lack of understanding is not the same as an intrinsic impossibility. First there must be a demonstration or proof that God becoming incarnate is impossible within itself.

The phrase “to err is human” acknowledges that humanity can make mistakes. It does not follow that man must make mistakes. There is potential for a human being (with God’s grace) to make no moral errors. However, our sin nature being what it is, we cannot meet this task without turning to God and reconciling with Him through Jesus Christ. Jesus was born without a sin nature, as was Adam. Adam had the potential to make no moral errors, but he chose sin. Jesus, faced with the same temptations, did not sin. So, to say that Jesus had both a divine and human nature is not to admit that Jesus sinned, although I would agree that Jesus, being human, was faced with the possibility of sinning, but fulfilled His mission by never giving in.
