If you said Jesus commit sin as Paar mentioned, then we have a contradictory issue.
Hi

Well it is all your imagination and no reasoning, in my opinion.

Kindly quote from me where I said Jesus sinned.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

Did you see the word “IF” in my posting? Of course I believe that you are with me that Jesus did not sin. By not doing sin, there is no contradictory of Jesus 100% man and 100% God. When you said “to err is human” did you include Jesus?

Paarsurrey says:

I never said Jesus sinned. How could I say that, when I consider Jesus to be as innocent as Adam?

I only said that Jesus did sometimes make mistakes and that is essential for being a human being. A human being has to pray to God Allah to cover from sins and also the mistankes one could and is apt to commitn. One cannot make a fully human if one cannot make mistakes. It is the Catholics who say that Jesus was fully human; so it is their turn to prove that Jesus made mistakes.

Please don’t mind, we are just discussing in search of truth and no disrespect is intended to any person or faith.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna

Do you consider it a mistake to assassinate a person who writes satirical poem about you? 😃

paarsurrey, why is it “essential” that a human being makes mistakes?

We have the potential to make mistakes, and most of us do

We are all born with sin, Jesus wasn’t

But being born with sin isnt the reason why we are called human

You are defining human the wrong way, just so you can “prove” Jesus isnt God

Hi dear kellie!

I established from the dictionary that sin and mistake are different words. I never said that man is born with sin;yes, man can and makes mistakes from the childhood to an old age. It is one of the features of a human being; nobody could deny it.

Every human being born whether in a Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim,Zoroastrian or Christian family is born innocent- without sins; yes late on could make mistakes and sins with the age and maturity.

Jesus was never God, nor he could become one, as per Quran, in my opinion, as it is obviously pardoxical.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna

Thanks

Please refer to my posting in the thread of Original Sin which you started, and yet did not answer. In Islam, every human born was touch by satan, except Jesus. Hadits Bukhari 3 pg 208 verse 1493. That is not the same as the RCC definition of Original Sin, but can be called as Islamic Original Sin.

Nope. To sin is to move away from God. To sin is not just an action has been done/taken. Your citation definitely is from a dictionary not the RCC definition. You must be careful even to say mistakes. With respect to who? Then the definition of mistake is subjective.

** Dear swariffin, you have referred to a very important true Hadith viz. There is no new born who is not smacked (hit) by the Satan at the time of his birth, except Isa and his Mother (Mary). Please remember that this is a true Hadith and not many understand this Hadith, not even Muslims.

I would like to explain this Hadith, in conjunction with the verses of the Quran i.e. verses 9 to 12 of the chapter 66 (Al-Tehreem). You will be surprised. This Hadith has nothing to do with the actual physical birth of new born children. It is all about spiritual birth. If you like, it could be explained.

In this Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad has highly praised Jesus and his mother.**

Jesus as the man incarnated of the word of God did die. But, Jesus hypostasis as the word of God did not die and cannot die. Christian said that the human nature of Jesus died. Christian never said God died. God the Father, God’s word and God’s spirit had no beginning and had no end.
Thanks for flushing that out a bit more. You of course are right. God did not die. Jesus who is God as a human did.

The whole argument is flawed. It is not either/or scenario. muslims always have a problem differentiating the Trinity from the Incarnation and Jesus’ two natures.
It didn’t seem to me that he was confusing the two. On the contrary, it appears to me that he has a very clear distinction between the two, and that it is you guys who are confusing the two.

He has posed a simple and understandable question about the Incarnation of Jesus, without mentioning anything about the Trinity. His question is not related to the Trinity, and he did not say that it is. It is you people who keep bringing the Trinity into it, and confusing the two.
