Why yes Jesus is a protestant,cause He protested agianst the Pharisees…but as He is the fulfilment of the Old covenant,He couldn’t been protesting against the old covenant now could He?and He is an Adventist cause He is the advent of the New covenant…but He is the New covenant Himself…Protestant=any one who adheres to a religion that broke off from the catholic church…so Jesus doesn’t really fit the tittle here…

If Christ was protestant, he was protesting Himself…
I wouldn’t make sense for Him to establish His church, His body… and then say “but I’m going to protest against it!”

Just to clarify:
The statement in the OP was not posted by myself. It was posted by someone on another thread. What was actually said was that Jesus was Protestant and is the founder of the Adventist church.
I felt the need to have this statement totally and completely set asunder by those believers in Christ who know He was an obedient Jew right up until His Resurrection.
I’m sorry if this offends anyone. It offends me as well. But if people really do believe this, they should be set straight.

How could you say Jesus was Jewish??? Next thing you’ll be telling me that Mary and Joseph found him in the jewish temple at some point in His childhood…good grief!

Jesus is not a Protestant and an Adventist. Protestant did not exist until 1530s and the Adventist did not came about the 1844s.

His mother was Mary. I am sure he called Mary, Mother.
He celebrated the Eucharist and believed in Real Presence.
He was a celibate priest.
He died around the age of thirty three and in all his life never he reformed the above. So I guess that must make him still a Catholic.

The real strike against being Catholic was that it’s not written that He said, “Go preach the Gospel. If you don’t, it’ll just be obvious that you don’t care. I’ll just go resurrect myself elsewhere among people who will appreciate me, since you obviously don’t.” No guilt trip? No Catholic.

The real strike against Catholic? The Gospels of Jesus Christ was PREACHED orally. Jesus did not gave his Gospel in written form to the Apostles to preached it. In fact, NT is straight from the ORAL TRADITIONS of the Church.And after being resurrected, he ate a piece of fish.

St. Paul also told us to hold fast the traditions either written or orally.
And Catholics affirm that Jesus lived, died, descended into the dead, and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father, Almighty.
