Is it just me or are there more and more anti-christian ‘nonsense’ in the media, or has it always been like this and I haven’t noticed it?

There is no way of knowing for sure that Jesus did not have one of the intersex conditions which would give him a body which appeared externally to be unremarkably male, but which might nonetheless have had some “hidden” female physical features.”

Dr Cornwall argues that the fact that Jesus is not recorded to have had children made his gender status “even more uncertain”. *

It’s part of the “queering” of God by the “post colonial queer liberation theology.”

I agree that Jesus did indeed minister to (and with) the marginalized in Judea, and that He asked us to be like little children. I also agree that God is to be found in brokenness and suffering, but God is NOT brokenness itself. Sin, death and brokenness are a result of sin, and death and brokenness are only redeemed when one aligns one’s suffering with Christ on the cross.

So to be homosexual or intersex is to suffer, but it is not in an of itself redemptive.

However, “queer theology” seeks to make being queer sacred (their words, not mine, so don’t post saying I’m being non-pc!) , and to remake theology in the queer image and likeness, including queer relationships which may be fluid, poly-amorous and orgiastic etc.

And what queer theology does to Hans Urs Von Balthasar’s theology is appalling!

It’s just another heresy in today’s diverse and liberated world.

Perhaps he had horns, too. There’s no evidence it’s not true… so it’s possibly true!

Indeed, he might have had all kinds of hidden things which others never noticed. Perhaps a third arm which embarrassed him so he kept it tucked under his clothing. Or a pet hamster he secretly fed at night when no one was looking. He must have been very close to that hamster… after all, there is no record that he ever married.

I don’t want to be unkind but the eminent doctor is ignorant beyond words. How can an academic come up with such an inane hypothesis? There is absolutely nothing in theology or history to suggest that Jesus was not a normal human male - apart from being God, of course. It’s just silly. I bet we’ll see a documentary about it though.

Does Dr. Cornwall have any children?
😛

A well-known speaker (inter alia) whom I love(d) very much would probably say that Dr. Cornwall “has been educated in imbecility”. Anybody know whom I’m referring to?

No, it`s not just you; so you can relax.
As a 57yo, i have trouble grasping how low the Western world has sunk since the early 1960s.

Not quite 500 years ago, the “Reformation” took off with the proverbial Bang. Its twin battle cries were “The Bible Alone” (not the Church) and “Faith Alone” (good works discounted). Now, ironically, the great majority of the spiritual descendents of the “Reformers” believe the exact opposite: the Bibles mostly myth, and as long as youre a nice person, and do a bit of good, youre OK. The "Reformers" divorced the Church, and founded their own systems based on heresy. Any heresy, no matter how seemingly insignificant, will spread through the whole spiritual organism, and eventually destroy it. Were finally seeing the full, rotten fruits of that rebellion.
The chickens have come home to roost! 🤷

By the way, im not saying that Luther and others didnt have some serious legitimate complaints. They did; but they went the wrong about fixing it. Saint Francis of Assisi, and others like him were TRUE reformers.

At least almost all of the comments are spot on. 👍

“We cannot know for sure that Jesus was male – since we do not have a body to examine and analyse – it can only be that Jesus’ masculine gender role, rather than his male sex, is having to bear the weight of all this authority."

This is idiotic since Christ’s body is in heaven, and since we don’t have a body we can make an assumption that he also had six fingers on each hand…

:confused::confused::confused:

I didn’t know that to be an “academic” you simply needed to publish unfounded and simply weird claims!!!

It’s not really shocking for a non christian to say that something like this MAY have happened. Whats annoying is that he’s trying to make a scandal out of something he just thought up. Seems pretty desperate to me.

Is there definitive proof that Caesar wasn’t a hermaphrodite?

Do we have testimonies? Well, surely a hermaphroditic emperor could pull some strings and release false testimonies of his manhood. Image was important.

Any children? Surely the same powerful emperor could also arrange for those?

I’m convinced. Caesar was a hermaphrodite, along with probably most of the “male” figures of antiquity.

Reminds me of the movie title “Glen or Glenda?” by Ed Wood, though I’ve never been so “blessed” as to actually watch it:D

As no doubt we are all aware - this is part of an agenda, to “queer” the image of God.

I always thought we were made in God’s image, not the other way round.

People don’t have anything else to do these days than to be saying nonsensical things.

Maybe not; but he was bald, flattering sculptures notwithstanding! 😃
He wasn`t just half bald.

i`m glad you put quotation marks around “blessed”.
Then again, not just any old film director could proudly claim the title of worst film director of all time! Undisputed title! 😃

Plan 9 from Outer Space was more than enough of him!!!

Being a hermaphrodite, or “intersexed” as some refer to it,
is a tragic medical condition that is a terrible cross to bear, and is
a result of the physio-psychological imperfections caused by the FALL OF MAN
back in the mists of pre-History.

Jesus was not touched at all by the results of the Fall, he was perfect in every way,
in all aspects of his being, and therefore, it can be stated with 100% accuracy, and
not even a possibility of being wrong,
that Jesus most definitely was NOT a hermaphrodite or intersexed.

These people today are blasphemers, and don’t even care.
