After Pope Francis prayed yesterday (Urbi et Orbi) & spoke about the disciples their faith & Jesus in the storm. It got me thinking, will Jesus also answer our prayers & calm the storm we are in?

The reason I’m asking is coz: 2000 yrs later we all have gone away from our lord & think of him only when we need him (like right now) but the disciple were always with him.

Will Jesus still want to protect us the way he protected his disciples? Or will he leave us alone?

Jesus has been calming the storm of anxiety within me almost everyday regarding this pandemic. He will never leave us alone but we are free to walk away.

He calms the storm within. On occasion, if it is God’s will, the storm without may be calmed.

I have wondered the same thing! But I keep going back to this verse:

" If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself."

(2 Tim 2:13)

I was talking to a friend of mine, Bob, who mentioned
that everything is closed, stores, restaurants, malls…
and CHURCH. I made a snide remark that the devil
is stronger than God. That got me thinking, perhaps
he IS? But that is just the TEMPTER saying for us to
bow down and worship him!! Jesus’ third temptation
according to Matt. 4:9

Not only is God stronger but it’s not even a contest. They are under strict limits of what they’re allowed to do, and what they are allowed to do is for the greater good.

Be careful in saying that the devil DOESN’T have
sway over the Church, remember that he was granted
100 years by Jesus to DESTROY the Church in the vision
Pope Leo XIII.

What is so special about a pandemic that affects the rich as well as the poor?

The greater and more invisible pandemic; is the eight thousand children dying every day from starvation. The medication is available - Food.

The Lord hears the cry of the poor.

Plagues are predicted in the OT and NT as a result of
God’s judgment on mankind’s sins, so is Climate Change.

That vision happened well over a 130 yrs ago.
