How about answering Ralph’s question:From Wikipedia:
… for muslims the only two sources of religious law and practice are the Qur’an and the Sunnah (documentation of the deeds and actions) of Prophet Muhammed. Both sources make it clear that the religions of others and their religious institutes should be respected, and as a result in the early history of Islam the institutes of other religions were kept intact and in fact tax monies would be used to help repair, for example, broken churches. An example of this would be how Salahuddin cleaned up a church after the conquest of Jerusalem, and similarly a church which had burnt down was repaired in Jerusalem.
And while I have to say that I am not certain of this, but I suppose if non-Muslims wish to eat pork and drink alcohol, they would be allowed to do so under Sharia law.
You have also quoted that churches can be repaired, but can new churches be built? If so, why isn’t that allowed in Saudi Arabia? If not, why in the world would we want laws like that imposed on us?Under your Sharia law, can I openly tell others about the Truth of Jesus Christ, the importance of his Church, and how Islam does not teach the Truth about God as told to us by Jesus? Under your Sharia law, can my Catholic brethren build new Churches and repair old ones? Can we save others by teaching them how Islam is wrong and the Catholic CHurch is right?
I’d also like an answer to this question:
and these:Why aren’t the “patriotic” Muslims who “love” America willing to fight for the Constitution instead of abolishing it and establishing Sharia Law?
Perhaps you can give us an example of a Muslim country that has implemented a Sharia-based economy that illustrates how the country is thriving and there are no poor people oppressed by the government running this economy.
Perhaps you can also give us some of the specific laws (and how they would be implemented) that you would see enacted in this Sharia based economy that would benefit the people.
Is it possible to have a Sharia based economy without implementing the rest of Sharia, including, but not limited to: a) killing apostates to Islam b) killing adulterers c) cutting off the limbs of criminals d) punishing people who speak against Muhammad and/or Islam e) punishing people for drinking alcohol f) punishing women for going out in public “uncovered” (i.e. without hijab, niquab, burqa etc) g) punishing women for going out without a male relative etc etc. etc.
