Because no religion is available in its purest form as it was revealed in the beginning, i.e. Judaism, christianity, Islam, Budhism, Hinduism. all have changed their original beliefs. The Muslims have the book in its original form (words).But original correct meaning (understanding of the book) has disappeared from amongst many Muslims. So they are all the same, as all other religions, no different, may be even worse…

God forbid if any nation try to establish a government based on its religion. They will be killing innocent people in the name of God. It is best to remain secular as it is in most countries today, giving limited freedom for all people to practice their faith and permitting peaceful propagation of all faiths.

I cannot fore-see any other way for the peace of mankind now.

Maybe you haven’t heard about this, your Koran isn’t so ‘in its original form (words)’.

Muslims prove to us all the time that even in Islam there is no peace because they are like a cage of chickens. They ‘peck’ on each other if they think the other guy isn’t practicing it the way they think they should be practicing it.

I think he’ll accuse you of pulling a “tu quoque” argument.

I was going to add that I think it’s the opinion of most theologians that Islam is actually more latitudinarian than Christianity; that is, outside of some basic propositions (there is one God and Mohammad is his messenger) doctrinal differences don’t matter much.

Sometimes, in my more cynical moments, I think that John Lennon was right and that the kind of quarreling you speak of is inevitable as long as people hold different religious beliefs. That actually helps me deal with the more corrosive posts here about Muslims: Christians are entitled to violently reject Islam (or Judaism, or Buddhism, etc.). However, I don’t intend to let them get away with saying just any old nonsense about Christianity’s major rival.

OK…that’s just hilarious…and describes Hamba perfectly. Good work, Sir. 👍

I have no idea what you are trying to say here since Sharia laws and whatever laws Christians have made that are close to Sharia are not based on Christian teachings. Sharia laws are based on Mohammed’s teachings. Christian laws are able to change because there is an openness to them while Sharia laws do not change because of their inane thinking it is directly from Allah therefore unchangeable. The Yemeni Koran proves that Allah’s word changed and Mohammed (or whoever wrote the Yemeni Koran) even erased out and wrote over parts of Allah’s word.

You bring up Christianity’s ancient history while what is happening in Islam is happening today.

Usually you will find a mad man, or woman behind any persecution of different sects of Christians. Look at the whack job Queen Mary known as Bloody Mary. She had some serious mental problems. She hated (that is the key word) what her father did to her mother and created a new religion so he could get away with his shenanigans. She hated it and the people were caught in the middle. But Mary was not a prophet. And neither were the men, and women who carried out any bad movement in Christianity.

It is too bad that whether it be a man or a woman that there are men willing to carry out those whack jobs killings for them. Mohammed, Hitler, and all the other whack jobs throughout history seemed to have men very willing to kill for them. Maybe if they didn’t have anyone who were so willing to kill for them they would have disappeared into history. I am sure some of it had to do with economics. Mohammed offered loot and slaves and some weird paradise in an afterlife, I am sure Queen Mary offered some coins to the executioners.

As for your Ireland, I don’t know what caused the problem and I don’t know if I really care either. Did that mean that the teachings of Christianity were behind the men who led whatever criminal activities went on? No. It certanly had a lot of politics behind it where Christianity should have kept itself separated from since that is not what your Jesus taught. Mohammed taught his followers to be political, and mixed his religion with politics so much so that it is so thoroughly mixed up that to separate it would make a totally different Islam.

I don’t know what the Pope(s) at the time thought of what was happening in Ireland. Nor do I know what the Protestant leaders thought of it all. I don’t know that much about the English Protestants. From my meager understanding, the Queen is the head of that Church which throws out any separation of Church and State. Have any Catholics, Jews, or Muslims been persecuted because they are not of the same Church that the Queen heads up? (leave out the Sharia, or fundamental concept of Muslim persecution and go with the majority definition of the word)

I showed the pics of what is going on in Somalia because that is what goes on in Saudi Arabia, that is what goes on wherever fundamentalism is coming back in Islam. I point out Saudi Arabia because they are the ones who are sending their clerics to our lands, and funding the mosques here. They are the ones who are stocking the hate literature found in so many of them too. We have a Somali problem in some of our Northern States.

Thanks for this post.
Its necessary to understand that Sharia is based on the sayings and conduct of Muhammad,
whereas the uncristian methods sometimes used in the Middle Ages by bishops and missionaries were in direct opposition to the example of Christ and his message of forgiveness and love.

Peace and happy Advent

It seems that they called off the Jesus4Sharia meeting. None of the Christians wanted to take them up on their junk and debate them. Maybe the Christians are waking up and realizing the Muslims don’t even bother to read the bible and/or understand anyone else’s point of view.

The idea that Muslims believe that Jesus was a Muslim is just absolutely hilarious! :rotfl: I mean, come on, give me a break! :rolleyes:

Jharek, from a christian’s point of view, the muslim founder was a fraudster and Anti-Christ, as they define him in the purest form according to the Bible - 1 John 2:22. Also, standard christian views on this issue would deny the idea that the prophets would even accept muhammad’s qualification as prophet.

And I’m not saying this to insult, cos let’s just remember this…if after killing so many people, robbing and lying and sleeping with infants and the wives of his enemies whom he had killed, muhammad justifies these horrendous acts and gets to enter heaven, then I can tell you very confidently that the righteous would rather suffer in hell cos it just means to them that their God of righteousness is dead.

Whatever the personal beliefs of J C, the above post has honestly described the Muslim point of view. I am happy to know that J C has told something which is correct about the Muslims ideas.

Jesus 4 sharia?

A classical manual of Islamic Sacred Law by Ahmad Ibn Naqib Al Misri (D. 769/1368), with the English text, commentary and appendices translated by Noah Ha Mim Keller.

1BOOK O: JUSTICE

1.1
Retaliation is obligatory (A: if the person entitled wishes to take it (dis: o3.8) against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right. (O: Intentionally is a first restriction and excludes killing someone through an honest mistake, while purely excludes a mistake made in a deliberate injury (def: o2.3), and without right excludes cases of justifiable homicide such as lawful retaliation.)

1.2
The following are not subject to retaliation:
-1- a child or insane person, under any circumstances (O: whether Muslim or non-Muslim.
The ruling for a person intermitently insane is that he is considered as a sane person when in his right mind, and as if someone continously insane when in an interval of insanity. If someone against whom retaliation is obligatory subsequently becomes insane, the full penalty is nevertheless exacted. A homicide committed by someone who is drunk is (A: considered the same as that of a sane person,) like his pronouncing divorce (dis: n1.2) );
-2- a Muslim for killing a non-Muslim;
-3- a Jewish or Christian subject of the Islamic state for killing an apostate from Islam (O: because a subject of the state is under its protection, while killing an apostate from Islam is without consequences);
-4- a father or mother (or their fathers of mothers) fir killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring;
-5- nor is retaliation permissible to a descendant for (A: his ancestor’s) killing someone whose death would otherwise entitle the descendant to retaliate, such as when his father kills his mother.

No punishment for a parent killing a daughter- why there are so many honor killings in Islam.

No punishment for a muslim killing a non-muslim. The Quran does not have the Golden Rule. Check out all the Golden Rules in the various religions: religioustolerance.org/reciproc.htm

When hadith says to treat your brother as yourself it is a fellow muslim. Non-muslims are not innocent.

Not all the six points of Ahmad Ibn Naqib Al Misri (D. 769/1368), are correct. In fact most of them are wrong. Ahmad Ibn Naqib Al Misri may be trying to interpret some verses of the Quran in a wrong way. He seems to be overwhelmed by his own wishes (bad desires).

NO Muslim is allowed to kill any non-Muslim and get away with it.

Sorry but the book of Sharia laws are what the majority of Muslims follow and if you want to tell someone they are wrong then it isn’t us you need to tell that to but the ones who control what is in that book.

***Also, you haven’t answered my question that if you are trying to tell your truth to the ones in power, what blogs do you blog on so I can join in. ***

And you do not have the texts of Islam to back you up in your trying to negate what is in Sharia laws, just as the Muslims who keep telling us that their Jihadists (who they support via Muslim charity, or zakat) are misunderstanding Islam. The Jihadists have the texts of Islam to back them up.
