Do you really view Jesus as “nothing” given the prevalence of Christianity in the world? Surely you have more thoughts than that. I accept you don’t see Him as the Messiah or God or a prophet.but He was someone, not nothing.Nothing isn’t negative, it’s just nothing.
I’m not baiting you, I’m truly curious. You’re probably afraid of being bashed ( I won’t do that) but you are hanging out and posting on a Catholic website so please be forthright. You are obviously interested in what Catholics think and other posters are interested in your thoughts as well.

I find it funny how everyone is surprised that Jews don’t think of Jesus as anything special. Think about, he turned their way of life on its head. Without Jesus I assume that all (or at least most) Christians would be Jews.
However, I don’t hold a grudge, or blame Jews for not accepting Jesus, they are holding on to their traditions that God passed down to them. I can understand why it would be hard to accept Jesus, who seems to go against some of these.

As you should expect, I’ve argued the subject not a few times here and, no, I don’t have more thoughts than that on Jesus, any more than I have of Mohammed or Joseph Smith.
I’m far more interested in the consequences of what people believe than in what it is that they believe, by the way, which is why I’m usually to be found on other sections of the fora.

No, it was the various Roman Wars that turned our way of life on its head. Without the early Christians, I expect most Christians (and Muslims) would be Pagans, we’ve never been really ‘into’ conversions.I find it funny how everyone is surprised that Jews don’t think of Jesus as anything special. The Romans and many others were a problem for sure but with the help of God the Jews managed to regroup and rebuild. But it is not a coincidence that 40 years after the crucifixtion of Christ the temple was leveled just as He said it would be and has never been rebuilt. With all due respect, that is the event that really turned Jewish life on it’s head.No, it was the various Roman Wars that turned our way of life on its head. i will just do as the bible commands, and love my Jewish brothers/sisters. as far as i am concerned, you are still the chosen of God, and he will work with your people the way he sees fit. we as Christians are simply grafted in with you, because of Jesus. i think people forget sometimes. Jesus is Jewish. so is Mary for that matter. i will simply stand with you against the anti-semitism that is still out there. and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.I was asked a straight question and answered it.
