You might want to re-think engaging me on this topic. I cannot believe, after the “Kenyan” birth certificate forgery fiasco, any rational person would wanna even go there. Has any other president’s birth documents been similarly scrutinized? Would you rather I joked about Apraio’s little green men or called it as a blatantly xenophobic ideology of blind hatred, intolerable ignorance and venomous malice? I do imagine which choice might be preferable.
You are avoiding the issue, Seekerz. Obfuscating and detracting from the true question.
The question is, Seekerz-----------------------(and will all due respect, of course) are you even willing to look at the evidence presented by Arpaio, or are you just dismissing it outright without even looking at it simply because you have already made up your mind this is silly because “there’s no way this could be true?”🤷
True skeptics dismiss after looking at the evidence from all angles and with as little preconceived notions as possible-------they construct a theory to fit the evidence.
NOT simply dismiss it outirght without examining the evidence simply because it may not fit one’s preconceived notions.
That is what DEBUNKERS do-----not “true” skeptics.

I am NOT (again) saying this is true----just saying that simply belittling it without looking at it first goes against the standards most people should have and have for evidence-gathering.
That is the question. You are avoiding that with dismissive, half-funny arguments designed to distract from the main question.

Again, I’m saying this with all due respect. 😦

I’ve heard it all, seen it all, examined everything but the heads of those from whom these conspiracies proceed and the sum of everything (at least that present in the public domain) to date has been a fat, round zero. Regardless of what Arpaio multiplies it by, the product will still be zero. Elementary math, my dear Watson.

All of it was debunked years ago. Just because a corrupt and racist sheriff is spouting it now doesn’t make it any less false.

Believe it or not, Seekerz, I can see both sides of this. I really do. I haven’t totally made up my mind even after looking at this evidence. But i do believe there is stuff in it that bears looking into----even if Obama is from here.
The thing is---------------------
So you DO admit you have already decided this is false without looking at it simply because you have already decided it is not true. Preconceived notions and all of that.

Ok. Fine. Your choice. But that is not skepticism----that is debunking.
Again, I am not declaring anything-----just keeping an open mind.

Just think it is not right to come in here and dismiss people who think differently and look at evidence differently than you do simply because you have already made up your mind in advance.

I’m not an idiot simply because I tend to have an open mind----me or others here. It is not “moronic” to look at things differently than yours. Those who look at evidence that is “not quite right” are not simply paranoid idiots whose hatred for Obama blinds them to the truth of of what he may be, as some have implied to me before.

Anyway, Seekerz, I enjoy your posts (I really do----and you know where I come from—and I love everybody here) but I have to respectfully disagree with your POV. I just think it is somewhat rude to be so lightly dismissing people’s opinions like that.

Have a good night anyway. Sincerely. 👍👍👍👍

Where are we going with all this at this point? Do we want Hilary to get the nomination instead?

Didn’t Congress have to pass legislation to qualify McCain who was born in Panama? If pressed couldn’t Congress pass one for anyone born in Africa too?

Just my thoughts.

So why does everyone have an issue with Obama and not with McCain?

McCain wasn’t elected to the highest office in the land, so any potential questions of his qualification to be president are moot.

Congress could not pass legislation to make anyone qualify for the presidency unless you are considering amending the Constitution. Either way, those worrying about whether Mr. Obama satisfied the requirement to be a natural born citizen are wasting time. No court is going to hear the matter.

So why does everyone have an issue with Obama and not with McCain?
The circumstances of their birth (parental age & citizenship) were different, as was the relevant law of the time - but trust me, you do not wanna go there…😉

Well, I don’t know about the “everyone” comment (I think the Birth Certificate issue with Obama is a wild goose chase), but I believe the difference in the situations presented is that McCain was born to US citizens while his dad was stationed at a US Naval Base in a different country. The law is sort of murky on that one. It’s not the same as just being born in a different country.

Constitutional scholars disagree on McCain’s status, whereas there would be no disagreement if it were found that Obama was born in Africa.
