meanwhile, it is being reported that an obama “fanatic” has made death threats against arpaio and his family. arpaio has shown courage in investigating this issue when others just ignored it. it has been the elephant in the living room. i pray for the safety of arpaio and his family. he has a lot of critics - not just over this issue.

The matter isn’t all over the papers and the networks. Unless you believe that the world is conspiring against American ultra-rightwingers, that should be enough proof that the matter is a nothing. There’s not a sane media source that buys into WND’s conspiracy theory and broadcasts it. Nor is the GOP beating the drums about it, and they would if they could IMO. so because he is despised, we shouldn’t acknowledge the findings of his investigation?
he might be despised by some, but he is well respected by others. just because most of you criticizing arpaio are prejudiced and don’t want anything negative said of the President because of being biased does not mean the rest of us are not able express our opinions.

If insisting that the president be accorded basic human courtesies (on matters that have been vetted, re-vetted and re-re-vetted by appropriate authorities) makes me prejudiced, then place me at the top of that list.

don’t be ridiculous! are you running out of arguments? why would arpaio need to check the authenticity of my birth papers? first off, i have nothing to hide. if i were running for any political office that required my past being investigated, all my records would be made availabe from my adoption records, to my birth certificate, to my baptismal and confirmation papers, all public school records and college records. i have no reason to be afraid of joe arpaio investigating me.

Geez, the same people who will be satisfied with no less than hospital surveillance video evidence of Obama’s birth, had not a peep to say about candidates who hesitated to release their tax returns - which in my mind are much more relevant to who they are as candidates! And BTW, neither is required to run for president. Obama met the requirements and he is president - get over it already.

I think they are required in the Constitution to present them to the Sheriff of Maricopa County. In the event that he is unavailable, the Chief of Police of Kalamazoo, Michigan is next in chain of command to investigate the credentials.

He did. When this story first broke four years ago, they obtained a copy from Hawaii and posted it to the website. The lunatics said it was a forgery and demanded to long form. So, they released the long form. Now the lunatics are saying that is forgery. At this point, it would take a video of Obama coming out of his mother’s birth canal to satisfy the nuts. So, I think he is taking the correct approach and refusing to dignify these requests any further!

The president is entitled to the same rights as you: let the proper authorities verify his documents just like they do for everyone or let every single citizen submit their long form BC for authentication. No, a democracy would have verified the documents before the election. The media pushed their candidate, and the public trusted the MSM to tell the truth. That’s the power of the media. If a few powerful people ignored the truth and pushed their candidate, then we don’t really have a democracy.

Quiet the doubters? I doubt that the President and his “wife” are really married, and suspect that his children were fathered by two different men, neither of whom was he. Should the White House just get out the marriage certificate and provide DNA testing on the daughters to quiet me?
