We need to always be reminded that John says,"
The light came into the darkness, and the darkness shall not overcome the light. "
There were lots of potential ways to phrase that passage. The most obvious is that THE LIGHT EXTINGUISHED THE DARKNESS. It didn’t! What is phrased is in fact the reality we live in
 
That’s one way to say, “I’d like to be your President, I need your vote!”
