Hello All,
…
I have never gotten a reply. Although in one of his sermons he did specifically say not to send him any letters he never reads them.
But Boxer you live in Texas have you tried to get a local paper interested in telling the truth about the Church and Hagee’s lies?
Quite frankly no one wants to make him mad. His organization rakes in over 15 million a year, his personal salary is over 1 million a year. A San Antonio paper reported back in 2004 that he was the highest-paid nonprofit executive in that city, back then he made twice as much as the next best-paid executive.
I have a problem with anti-semitic sentiments but to be honest,
may make enemies now I also have a problem with his being so pro that no Jewish person can do wrong in his eyes. I see no balance with him.
You mentioned the other ministers on TBN, they are all great friends, he is close to Paul and Jan Crouch as well. His organization is a 501(3) c Church. He receives excessive compensation from his nonprofit ministries as does TBN. If you mess with him you also are messing with the business men’s tax write offs. TBN takes in over 100 million a year from viewer donors. Church;s need donations of course to run and for charities, but I have a problem with their “name it and claim it” way they get it, also requesting sometimes through their prayer lines.
He is very political. And very pro-war. Wants us to join Israel in a strike against Iran. Started his own lobbying group called Christians United for Israel (CUFI), Here is a group of people on his board of directors:
QUOTE: The CUFI board of directors includes the Reverend Jerry Falwell, former Republican presidential candidate and religious right activist Gary Bauer, and George Morrison, pastor to the 8,000-member Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, Colorado, and chairman of the board of Promise Keepers. Rod Parsley, the Ohio televangelist who is rapidly becoming a major political figure in the Christian right, signed on as a regional director. Among CUFI’s other supporters are nationally syndicated Christian right talk show host Janet Parshall, who serves on its board of advisers, and Ron Wexler, an Orthodox Jew and president of the theocratic Ten Commandments Commission, which has the backing of nearly every prominent conservative evangelical in the country. Many popular TBN televangelists, among them the controversial faith healer Benny Hinn and the best-selling author of self-improvement books, Joyce Meyer, have also offered their support. Meyer was named one of the country’s 25 most influential evangelicals in an oft-cited 2005 Time magazine article – as was Stephen Strang, CEO of Strang Communications, which published Jerusalem Countdown. Long before his launch of CUFI, Hagee had sought to influence American policy toward the Middle East. For 25 years, he has hosted a “Night to Honor Israel” at his church, an event that showcased Tom DeLay as the keynote speaker in 2002, and that has attracted leaders of the Israeli government as well as American politicians. END QUOTE
Members of the Republican Party have said that
John Hagee does have President Bush’s ear. Paul Crouch is a friend of John Ashcroft . All the political connections are there and with people like Hagee using his platform, his book called Jerusalem Countdown that made it on the USA Today best-seller list for 6 wks, preaching that this will lead to the Rapture, Tribulation, and Christ’s return, already having put people into this holy war mindset, lets just say it all kind of fits.
I have links somewhere on his theology but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I will check back.
