Well Ohallin, John Hagee preaches on maral topics that I agree with. But his style I find not to my liking. He stands there speaking louding expecting an applause every now and then. He reminds me of the dictators of the past. Perhaps it’s his way of refuting the role
of Mary in salvation. I guess his audience will go along with whatever he says.

I like to listen to John Hagee now and then, I’ve never heard him save anything anti-CathoIic but don’t listen to him regularly , I do agree one needs to be picky of the ones on TBN.
Maybe Hagee has turned over a new leaf, but John McCain had to reject an endorsement by him in '08 because of anti-Catholic rhetoric.

I attempted to find some detail about Aphthartodocetism. What little bit I found online was very sketchy. Can you tell me a bit more about this particular heresy?

Pleasantly surprised by a sermon I’ve seen on TBN by John Hagee from his church. Very lovely testimony of Our Lady’s faith in God, unwavering fidelity even at the cross, he says her tears co-mingled with Christ’s blood on the ground- He called her the Blessed Virgin Mother of God. How lovely! I really was pleasantly surprised.
Mr. Hagee has been very wise in acknowledging Mary as Mother of God. Anyone that comes close to the Theotokos with reverence and respect, will inevitably receive the one she bears…Jesus Christ.

I’m having difficulty understanding the bolded part below.
God the Father implanted in her both the seed and the blood necessary for Him to be born and that Jesus did not receive His blood from Mary. **If He had *she ***would have been contaminated by her sin.

Just a note on a previous post: Catholics do not “worship” the Blessed Virgin Mary. That is reserved for the Holy Trinity alone. She is given hyperdulia, which is a special veneration for her alone. The archangels, angels, saint, et al., are given dulia, which is a normal veneration. Yes, we Catholics do love the Blessed Virgin Mary, but we would never place her above the Holy Trinity.

I hope this helps on that point for any non-Catholics on this board.

Thank you.

I think its a misspelling…

beyond that, if God was going to pull such a hat-trick to birth Jesus, why not have him manifest out of thin air and POOF be among us… Its much easier to do that than have your “messenger” (Hagee) attempt to explain how he got all the protein and nutrients necessary to build a body (you need more than ‘seed’ and blood).

There really isnt much behind Hagee’s ‘argument’… its insulting in general, and only appeals to the people who blindly follow him. Hagee will preach the most esoteric far-fetched nonsense, but cant get behind what 50,000+ people witnessed (including a secular paper) at Fatima?

The answer is that Hagee spends more time worrying about whats-for-dinner, than discerning his “observations”…

Ditto on what Br. Moses said,

Latria - to God

Hyperdulia - to Mary

Dulia - to the Angels and Saints

The reference to blood seemed to me to have a JW flavor.
