All Protestant preachers talk about God and Jesus and read scripture during their presentations – but they teach heresy.
not joel olsteen. i have not listened to all of joseph prince’s sermons, but they don’t appear heretical to me.

coincidentally, i just turned on the tv and went to EWTN and didn’t want to watch that show so i went down a channel and joseph prince is on. he really is a compelling speaker. i don’t doubt his sincerity of believing in the Gospel and God’s love. i wasn’t sure of his ancestry. i don’t see him preaching the gospel of prosperity like joel osteen.
at least joseph prince talks about God and Jesus and reads scripture during his presentations.
For a moment I thought he was on EWTN, that would shock me in a real bad way:eek:

As far as prosperity gospel, this is from his website :

Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour will not only save you from sin and hell, but also give to you health, joy, peace, love, hope, unconditional acceptance, favour, the power to get wealth, all good things you can think of and more. :dts:

Atleast that was the link had before. Deosn’t seem to work now.

One of the statements of the core beliefs of New Creation Church is that “Jesus lead a sinless life” I wonder why they needed to state that. 🤷

i know at the end of his televised sermons, there is a statement asking for people to give to their local churches. i haven’t seen him ask for money yet. maybe on his website he asks for donations i don’t know. i didn’t know what the name of his church was.

Hmm. New Creation Church based in my country. Perhaps he’s affiliated with other churches in the US within one umbrella, helping each other out.

Yes, he’s well known in Christian circles here and known also for being able to collect relatively humungous amounts of money in a very short time. Also recently in the news as a shrewd “businessman” in his endeavors as you can imagine. An 800m dollar mall cum “church” is being built as we speak where his church forked out half of that!

Destined to Reign: The Secret to Effortless Success, Wholeness and Victorious Living,**

Let’s compare that with Mother Teresa :"God has not called me to be successful; He has called me to be faithful.” To me, it was a beautiful place, a place where people died in peace with God after being loved and cared for like angels. “I don’t want the work to become a business, but to remain a work of love,

Anyone know anything about Joseph Prince? A friend of mine posted a quote that says:

“We don’t have to confess our sins in order to be forgiven. We confess our sins because we are already forgiven. When I say ‘confess our sins’, I’m talking about being open with God… Confession in the new covenant is just being honest about your failures and your humanity. It is the result of being forgiven and not something you do in order to be forgiven.” (Destined to Reign, p.104).

We don’t have to confess our sins? What about 1 Jn 1:9?

I’d never heard of JP until my friend posted the quote, but apparently his ministry is very similar to Joel Osteen’s (i.e., health, wealth, word of faith gospel, etc.).
A direct denial of Jesus’ command to Peter and the Apostles about the forgiveness of sins…and confession…?

It’s doesn’t surprise me. As a matter of fact it’s par for the course. Confession was instituted by Jesus Himself and handed not to the general public but to Peter-first pope- and the Apostles directly.

Confession is the inexhaustible source of renewable grace. Reject that and you reject grace.

This is yet another subject that the “Joseph Princes” of the world prance around very gingerly because it is so catholic.

He’s Protestant. Of course he doesn’t believe in confession.
