When did Bill Donahue become anyone with weight?
He may be a Catholic brother, but, IMO, he is an over-rated…,
I stopped in deference to the forum.
And to stay on topic, can anyone here prove that the Saints were not insane? Of course not…that’s why they call it faith.

John
Bill Donahue hold alot of weight because he gets results. Here’s his latest comment on Behar and her silly musings:

But there is no proof that they were so why even make the claim? If you can’t say something nice then don’t say anything at all.

She clearly has no idea what is required to declare someone a saint. Granted, some very famous saints “heard voices” but an equally significant number of them did not.

Joy Behar is one of the reasons why as Catholics we need to do what Our Blessed Mother asked and say the rosary!

Many people wonder if the Catholic Church is the One true Church, why is it always under attack. That answer is very simple. The wolf does not attack the false sheep.

Apparently modern medicine hasn’t improved to the level of preventing mentally ill talk show hosts from spewing their anti-catholic rants. Someone should monitor Joy to make sure she takes her medication.

It never ends with this show and it all falls on Barbara Walters shoulders.

Since someone with a name like Joy can be taken seriously anyways

I just love our priest’s one liner for something like this - (to paraphrase) “of course they were a bit crazy - Crazy for Christ! :)”. Living a Christ-like life isn’t normal behavior in that it doesn’t focus on wordly things. So, to some, it would look crazy.
St. Francis can talk to animals
I’m pretty sure a lot of us animal lovers have done the same at one point. 😊

Just one reason he’s one of my patron saints. 👍

It is important for Catholics to point out comments like this. There are significant numbers of unsupervised children who get part of their education from watching shows like this. Being anti-Christian is the current trend in all media. And the “entertainment” industry is desperately promoting pornography, profanity, prostitution, adultery and fornication.

They no longer want to endure sound doctrine.

God bless,
Ed

I find The View disgusting and never watch it. I am not surprised to hear this comment out of any of them. They would say anything and bash anyone for a laugh. Pathetic.

So, we have on this thread one that is a saint…saint goofyjim.

One in purgatory…

There is only hell left…and at times, I feel I am going there or living it or something with all of this craziness that the tv spouts out. (except for EWTN and all animal shows)!😃

Everytime I find myself just watching even 5 minutes of the View, I automatically think—oh my gosh, I am wasting my life watching this. There are very few things I do where I actually think this. Sometimes, you just can’t help but stop and watch it momentarily because it is so amazingly bad. They make women look so incredibly stupid. They need to have Laura Ingraham (sp?) and Mother Angelica on their “panel”. If any of them had been Eve in the Garden of Eden, they probably would have planted a second tree of Evil instead of just eating the fruit off of it.

Could those medications be what’s keeping her from being a saint?

Whoopie Goldberg who attended Catholic schools (not sure if she was actually Catholic or not) brought the whole subject up when she said she could not worship in a church that worships statues. " we are not supposed to worship idols" “I went into the church and there are all these statues”

That is when Behar chimed in with “what about the statues of all the saints?” Then the rant began. These people are pitiful.

Big-mouth, bigoted,…hmmmm, can anyone think of another “b” word to describe them?

Oh dear, I just extended my time in purgatory :gopray:
S’aright…watching the show is probably equivalent to actually “doing time” in Purgatory. 😛

I was watching this show the other day called “The Communion”, where a group of saints sit around a table and discuss current topics of interest, hosted by St. Barbara.

St. Paul apparently opined that Joy Behar was mentally ill, and called her musings “a distraction”. He discounts the psycho-tropic drug theory, since “they don’t seem to be calming her down.”

  1. *]Joy Behar is Jewish.
*]Joy Behar is a comediene and a weak talk show host that is only on TV because of the strength of Barbara Walters hosting skills.
*]Its’ Joy Behar. Why is she being taken so seriously?

Take two chill pills and read the writtings of the doctors of the Church in the morning.

As for Hasselhoff, if she weren’t riding the red wave smack into the face of a certain loud lesbian who really was an ex-Catholic, no one would know that reality show escapee exists.

    🤷

I don’t think Joy is Jewish as her maiden name is Occhiuto
She must be a lapsed Catholic.
