Can you help me to understand how a much loved pope (as JPII was and is) can be beautified and considered for Sainthood when everyone now knows that he transferred around to other parishes priest abusers, and covered up for them?

You’re kidding, right? Do you imagine that popes make PAROCHIAL assignments? There is no concrete evidence that Blessed John Paul II can be held responsible for any of this. Popes don’t micromanage the Church. There’s over one billion Catholics in the world. That’s one reason we have bishops. Some of them were guilty of covering up abuse, some of them were actually themselves guilty OF abuse, but the pope? No way.
