agreed. But not suprised. If you list every character in the Tanakh (especially the Torah) you’re going to generally find major flaws for each one.I actually agree with you on this. I definitely do not think that King Solomon went to a place of damnation. And even though there does appear to be bad things that he had done, he never stooped to the level of Mannasah or Ahab for example.
In my own opinion, Hitler is more like Ahab and Mannasah than Solomon.
But Solomon did, nonetheless, do some pretty bad stuff in my opinion. And I think we both agree with this even if the particulars of the “bad” he did are not generally agreed upon.
Agreement is good when possible.![]()
Great.Maybe Solomon was a young republican![]()
At least your image is based on real eventsGreat.
Now I’ve got an image in my head of Bush Jr. laying across his father’s lap with his pants down while Bush Sr. is spanking his bare bottom and yelling, “Who’s your daddy!”
:bigyikes:
not sure. Sounds like an opinion to me. If he lived and died of natural causes, the concept of atonement though the dead of God in flesh wouldn’t have arisen. Maybe that is what she meant? Ask her.Shalom.
I had a question.
Ive heard a jewish friend of mine say “If Jesus hadn’t died on the cross, Christianity wouldn’t have existed”.
Now, I’m not quite sure what she meant with it, would you have any idea?
Thanks in advance!
Great.

I’m not sure how Jesus can be the ultimate sacrifice if the prophets, which I believe Christianity follows, say that animal sacrifices will return. But I’m not sure why you posted all that in response to my post. As far as the Tanakh, I don’t know why Biblegateway doesn’t have it. Is that a Christian website.I have a question about the Tanakh … how come it is not listed in the bible gateway … I have the tanakh here but it takes too much time to type out the scriptures …
is there a site online where I could get the Tanakh
Jesus Christ or Yeshua was the ultimate sacrifice for the human race . before Jesus people were still under the old laws . after Jesus . there is no more stoning or putting to death
if you repent turn from you old ways … you are forgiven .
but through your life you have to follow Yeshuas’ ways … you can’t keep committing the same sin over and over … it doesn’t work that way … repentance means turning away from your sin and walking with HIM
I also believe that the 10 commandmenst stand today . such as the Sabbath(which by the way is not on a sunday) and putting GOD first before all things … none of that has changed
I am sure someone else will jump with an answer to this .it will be interesting to see others responses

The Tanakh can be viewed online at: sacred-texts.com/bib/tan/index.htm (haven’t read it there myself so I can’t comment on the translation)
You can also try this one: mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt0.htm
Sorry eleonardo. I’m grumpy today. I’m just getting irked by those who presistently deny the truth in order to justify their own beliefs before God.
I was referring to Bush getting spanked. Not sure what you’re on about.
Don’t worry about it!Sorry eleonardo. I’m grumpy today. I’m just getting irked by those who presistently deny the truth in order to justify their own beliefs before God.
You’re not one of those people as far as I can tell. And I do apologize for the snark. It wasn’t really intented towards you but was more of straight from the hip response.![]()

Fair enough.Valke
This is a question I have asked many times … in the new system to come … it says He will teach the Torah himself and there will be sacrifices… so I can’t answer that question … wish I could .
it is confusing to me sometimes .
