Well, I guess it depends on your definition of “not that long.”Not going on that long, as I clearly remember when most movies and TV shows had to cover the brand names or use fakes…it is completely different today, I think it changed back in the early 90s.
Strange that for so long, they didnt want their brands to be seen, Im supposed to believe this was the norm, then all the sudden it changed, and now nearly every company would like their brands seen as often as possible, as many places as possible? LOL Why did it take them so long to recognize this I wonder? Plus, Id love to know what demographic Mercedes Benz is trying to appeal to , by showing their brands in a movie about dinosaurs?! LOL Most people anxious to see this movie, I doubt can afford one, or would even want one.
Personally, I would rather see fake brand names/ logos in movies and shows, too many commercials to contend with now, nice to have at least something they arent using for advertising…but I guess those are the times, all about GREED today!
I guess it doesn’t upset me too much to see. It mostly makes me roll my eyes when it is super-obvious. I tend to notice it more often in TV shows. “Let’s stop the narrative for a moment to look at how my new car can park itself! Available at a dealership near you!”
