Oh, I only wish they were as rare as you say! I know a whole passel of them.

**I have met a lot of “Christians” who by the way they lived, one would have no idea they were what they professed…one doesn’t have to believe in eternal security to claim they have faith…and not live it.

George Fox summed it up nicely…“all christians are believers, both Protestants and Catholics; The Lord opened to me that if all were believers, then they were all born of God, and had passed from death to life; [becoming a new creature, old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new] and that none were true believers unless that had happened; and though others said they were believers, yet they were not.”

:blessyou: Publisher, you sound like an :yup:old-fashioned Methodist!😉 You wanna come sit in the Amen Corner with me??😃
LOL…I’ll sit with you…we can have Meeting together.🙂 “Where two or three are gathered together in my name…there am I in their midst.” Now that to me is the Real Presence…Christ himself in our midst.

Listen you wouldn’t need two or three, for He is always there. How could it be otherwise? The Kingdom of God is within you, can easliy be shortened to the Kingdom of God is you. The only choice is to listen to the Holy Spirit or the ego. 🤷 What one may choose for “support” is a completely different topic.😉

LOL. what a mess we all have inherited in this time period. I am positive I didn’t leave God at the church on Sunday nor did he leave me then. 😃

Peace

For what it’s worth to add to the discussion, Judaism forbids speculation regarding one’s personal salvation; we are supposed to leave it in G-d’s just and merciful hands and concentrate instead on the here and now of our earthly life. In particular, the focus is on performing sincere good works (and even insincere is better than nothing). Judaism is an orthoprax religion, in which faith is practiced by means of one’s ethical and compassionate behavior toward other humans, as well as animals.

How could you serve and worship and receive joy from a God that you are not sure has saved you from death and wrote you into the book of life? This would make no sense to me at all and I surely couldn’t do it.

Sounds like excellent logic to me.

That is good advice for us all.
My grandfather used to say, “I am not God’s admission counselor, & neither are you. And I would not take the job if it were offered”.

If you could not serve & worship Him without absolute surety, then how could you ever come to know Him, & love & serve Him at all???:confused:
