I don’t know about you guys, but I was really excited to go see War Of The Worlds, I thought it looked awesome, and now… not so much. If someone else was the lead then I’d still be hyped, but I don’t know why, he just turns me off of everything now.

Scientology makes people crazy, I just can’t wait to see what Katie transforms into next. Will she be running down the street screaming her love for Tom and scientology? Stay tuned!

(If I hear TomKat one more time, I might just blow a fuse)
 
Well I was going to say I don’t care a bit about Tom, that my concern was only for Katie…

but then I remembered that Tom is a baptized Catholic, too.

So I’m gonna pray that Katie snap out of this, grows stronger in her Catholicism and is able to bring Tom home - if they get married afterall.

I’m still disappointed Nicole, being Catholic, wasn’t able to succeed in that way.

But there’s always hope.

I was wondering about that, considering he left his first wife after no children with her, and then Nicole after she adopted two…

the guy needs help and prayers, BIG TIME.

I wonder since he has been married twice before if he can father a child…either way. Katie would probably not be able to take the child with her…should she choose to leave.
 
I like Cruise as an actor, but Katie hooking up with him seems like “Risky Business” to me… 😃

The birth of the baby is supposed to coinside with the premiere of the newest Mission Impossible movie. Coincidence? I don’t think so. The baby will be on the red carpet opening night.

While she remained at least a nominal Catholic throughout her marriage, after her divorce Nicole decided to return to the faith. She is (or was) spending large amounts of time studying the scriptures with a theology professor from Pepperdine. She is a high school drop out, but has talked a lot about going back to school to get a degree in philosophy now.

I remember reading a news article a while back saying Tom’s new found exuberance most likely correlated with his moving up a level in Scientology. I can’t remember, but I think it was OT-VII, the second to highest level.

I was reading a chat group about Scientology years ago and became interested (mortified) by what they teach. I remember reading this, which now in hindsight is interesting to revisit:
Nicole Kidman’s black magic role in her new film Practical Magic will not help her escape the ruthless tactics of Scientology. Nicole Kidman has been signaling she wants nothing more to do with Scientology; she has said she is not a Scientologist. However, her situation is problematic. Scientology’s policy is that its members are not to be closely associated with individuals who are antagonistic to Scientology, and according to Scientology’s definition, Nicole is antagonistic.

Nicole knows Scientology arranged the divorce of Tom Cruise and Mimi Rogers. She knows Scientology will control every possible aspect of Tom’s life. She must wonder if it is only a matter of time before Scientology demands Tom chose between his wife (and kids) and Scientology. Or before Scientology destroys their marriage through covert operations or offers Tom a new dream woman to run though a new field of wheat grass with.

I also remember a number of reports of Katie’s family being most distinctly NOT happy about her engagement. However, their daughter is literally being spied on (she has a woman from Scientology Central going everywhere with her, who when asked who she is, answers “I’m Katie’s new best friend.”) and she is told to not associate with anyone antagonist to Scientology. They are dealing with some pretty scary people. Did you know Scientologists literally tried to ruin a woman, have her falsely imprisoned, etc because she wrote about them? I bet they have a lot more to worry about than defending Catholicism to the media. Their daughter’s–and now their grandchild’s–very life is on the line. I hope they are being counselled by an expert in the field of working with those in cults.

Didn’t Nicole have a miscarriage for him? He left her shortly after that.

EOnline reports that it was the other way around–she was 3 months pregnant when he filed for divorce. Perhaps he only wants kids born out of wedlock… She miscarried a few weeks later.
Another troubling tragedy for Nicole Kidman.
The actress’ Australian-based publicist has confirmed stories in the New York Daily News and supermarket tabloid the Star this week that Kidman was nearly three months pregnant when Tom Cruise filed for divorce last month. The Daily News and Star quote unnamed sources who claim the 33-year-old actress was pregnant at the time of the split and subsequently suffered a miscarriage.

Hey! A baby is a baby & a life is a life!!! I am seriously happy for the couple because this IS a joyous occasion & it is a celebration!! Something good has come out of this relationship and none of us know what this child will do in life.

I find it sad because she is a child herself. I have daughters close in age to her and they are dating. I wonder if they could become so changed, and as I write this I know they could be. Young women in love are blinded really. I pray my children would not get so foolish.

Huh? Didn’t someone say she is 26? I’m her age, and I have 3 kids already. Since when is 26 too young to be a mother?? :confused:
(clearly, she should have waited for marriage- but her age is not the issue)
