Just remember that when we oppose views which we think are “extreme” we ourselves are taking an “extreme” position according to our ideological opponent.

To say that “xyz” is grossly immoral or sinful or an abomination will seem like an extreme view to folks who say “xyz” is quite loving and natural and entitled to universal respect and tolerance.
